[Battle] Trainer Editing programs

    So, I have been trying, for about an hour or so, to find a program that allows me to edit the trainers in Pokemon Ruby (because that is where I wanna start), but each program I insist on using either vanished with no trace to be found (Advance Trainer Editor) or gives me "Unexpected Handle" error code when I try to edit the trainers. I have tried clean versions of Ruby, but none work at all. I have even tried Fire Red and Leaf Green and they work just fine. Ruby version is 1.1 English, if that means anything. Am I missing something along the way? Did I mess up? Any kind of help would be nice. Thank you in advance.
     
    Try Pokemon Game Editor in combination of Bulbapedia/Serebii to figure out which trainer is which (the editor lists them by name only). It's a good idea for you to keep close track of these changes too, just in case you need to go back and change something again.
     
    Did you try Hopeless Trainer Editor?
    But I don't if it works only on fire red
