Trainer Event Not Changing Backdrop

I am currently in the process of figuring out how to change backdrops for a trainer event following this guide:
https://pokemonessentials.wikia.com/wiki/Trainers

I then inserted a comment into the event like this:

Then I compiled the game data and ran into the trainer with that event.
The backdrop should have now been changed into this:

But then the backdrop doesn't change:

I'm hoping I didn't mess up in these images and that I just need to change something else. Someone please help me! >o<"

Thanks for replying! I ended up figuring out how it worked. Apparently, I had to start out with a new event/event page and not work with the old one.
Then I just wrote a bunch of comments I needed on that new event and used the Editor to compile it for me. It finally created the event for me. :D
