zubat took out gastly, sandshrew took out zubat, growlithe beat bayleef
went into the forest, taught totodile cut and growlithe headbutt. cleared the following route with sandshrew and zubat
cleared the goldenrod underground with growlithe for some EXP. knew i would have to get creative against whitney so i stocked up on X-attacks and super potions, growlithe clered the gym for good EXP

zubat was doing fine against clefairy with supersonic and bites. until Metronome>Double Edge scored a double KO
then came the big kahuna herself, miltank
Mud Slap x2, Defense Curl X6, Mud Slap x4, 3 X-Attacks, 2 Super potions and many MANY scratches later. sandshrew wins
went onwards, got rollout for sandshrew. cleared the route with sandshrew mostly. zubat and growlithe cleared out the national park. found sudowoodo. got the number for the school kid hopefully he'll get me a fire stone soon. went back to goldenrod, got squirtbottle. beat sudowoodo with sandshrew, got rock smash for growlithe. healed at violet before moving on to the next route which was cleared by growlithe. zubat evolved to golbat while clearing the dance hall in ecruteak. went to the burned tower.

Golbat took out haunter with a bite, flinch, bite. sandshrew took magnemite and zubat easily and growlithe was going to KO bayleef,,,,, until bs razor leaf crit. leave it to golbat to finish the job.
went to the gym. trained growlithe and sandshrew, sandshrew evolved to sandslash.
VS Morty (what, no rick?)
clean sweep for Golbat, gastly was an OHKO with bite. haunter got flinched and a 2nd bite took it out. dodged hypnosis and confuse ray'd gengar, a few more bites put it down. last haunter took a bite and suicided with curse.

Thanks for giving me this team! I'm quite satisfied with the results despite really wanting to use a Gengar. Would have preferred a psychic weakness over no levitate ability. Chandelure is however one of my favourite Ghost Pokémon, it would be a disservice to all chandeliers if I didn't at least try. Might retry with a Golurk if I wipe.

Attorney Disbarred!
You were once a respectable Sinnoh advocate of the law with your sights on the Elite Counsel board. A recent scandal involving activist group Team Galactic had you pinned as a co-conspirator in terrorist operations. With your license revoked and reputation besmirched, you sought out to clean your name and confront the man who tied you to the evidence: Code name Looker, International Police officer. All the while, your probation order dictates that you must babysit a few miscreants...

I'll be adding a special condition to every Pokémon, but feel free to disregard them should you find them annoying/too difficult!

Assigned Team:

2. Roserade has an endearing justice warrior vibe about it

Petty Pondering: This is a childish Pokémon that will often spite its trainer. For every new move taught by a Move Reminder, TM or Tutor, Roserade will forsake one gym leader battle.

Restore Point: This Pokémon has tried redeeming itself many times but always returned to its old ways. For every four badges obtained, Crobat is allowed 1 egg move to be edited in. But to do so would imply losing 25 levels on both times.


Don't forget your Trainer Missions!
- Field Prosecutor: Upon entering a new area/city, you must use the Dowsing Machine to find hidden items before resuming your adventure.
- Savage Barrister: You must try to 1HKO the MVP in every gym leader battle. Succeed in at least 2 consecutive gyms and all Pokémon rules will be lifted for the E4.
This is optional, but it would add to the overall challenge persona if you were too keep an adventure log of your most important findings, experiences and notes, challenge related and/or otherwise.

The Stars Above - First Update

It's been a rush so far, mainly because I skipped most things up until the Riolu encounter. I tried to skip them, that is, but the fates forced my hand.

- Using unnamed Froakie as my starter, I trekked along the initial routes with little difficulty. Fairly early in Santalune Forest, I was reminded of Yayo, a deceased Pikachu from my previous X Nuzlocke run. I set the battle background to Pikachu in her honour and continued my journey. Immediately after, I ran into a Pikachu. A shiny, female Pikachu. This was not only bizarre, it was my first ever shiny encounter playing X/Y. I chose to capture it and take it with me for moral support. I won't be using shiny Yayo in any battles seeing as this is entirely personal.

- I curved as many trainers as I could pre-Riolu so we'd have an easier time farming exp. before facing Viola. Happily caught Sirius the Riolu. Sirius was named after the celestial wolf star, brightest in the Earth's night sky. Having finally met with my first partner in Détourner Way, I wonder traded Froakie away and released the Whismur that arrived.

- I played in Pokémon-Amie for what seemed like an eternity, walked around aimlessly and battled dozens of wilds for no specific reason; Sirius refused to evolve. TWO CAN PLAY THE SAME GAME

- Viola was surprisingly tough to beat thanks to Vavillon being fully evolved, spamming Harden and Infestation taking 1/8 of Sirius's HP each turn. Thank god Sirius resists bug, I don't want to imagine how this would have played out otherwise. Surskit offered no resistance so it wasn't entirely awful.

- I can vaguely recall several side-quests that gave me nothing but trouble. Bagged a Quick Claw for Sirius to hold at some point, later replaced by the Amulet Coin found at the Parfum Palace, where HM Cut also lay. Retrieved the flute and destroyed Snorlax. Sirius had learned Force Palm by then, making it fairly easy. Rival battles were as uneventful as they were tedious.

- We departed to Lumiose City, guided by Sina and Dexio. At the lab, we adopted our first HM slave from professor Sycamore: Genbu the Squirtle. Genbu was named after the Black Tortoise, one of the four symbols of the Chinese constellations. Most areas were off-limits, leaving us with nothing to do other than spending hard earned money in trivialities, seeing as the boutique wouldn't let Sasha enter.

- Caught Lux the Absol in Muraille Coast, which triggered Sirius to evolve into Lucario. HYPE. Lux was named after the latin word for "light" with symbolism more so than mythology in mind. You could say Absol is a messenger of fate as light is the messenger of time and space. Dark photons could theoretically explain dark matter as dark energy could theoretically aid in causing gravity (as well as natural disasters if dark matter were to interact with regular matter). Absol's role in the Pokémon world makes me think of how emergency lights were developed to signal specific conditions and used to warn humanity of impending disaster. TL;DR: EVERYTHING IS THE LIGHT ACTUALLY EVERYTHING IS ENERGY BUT OK

That's it for now! Lux needs to be trained in the meantime, considering the level gap.

Having spent much of your youth absorbed in rigorous training and fervent battle, life as it was now held no significance to you. Burning with desire to journey once more, you take it upon yourself to reinvent what it means to be a veteran as you make way to Mt. Silver... So who was it that you said you've always wanted to see again?

Assigned Team:

- Arcanine is a resourceful and dependable Pokémon
- Design has similarities to that of a mythical fire-breathing tiger/dog
- If Suarez had fangs, that bite would have been lit

Brave Frontier: This is a fearless Pokémon, so be sure to always leave scouting up to Arcanine and have him lead the party, as well as never flee from wilds.
Optional: Leaders should aspire to be wise. Wise Arcanine can only be taught special moves.

- Mash-up of your favourite types
- Charizard is an essential member of Red's team as Dragonite will be to yours
- You can travel far and wide on its back

Mercy On Call: This Pokémon believes in a just and compassionate world, and is often defiant towards its trainer. As penalty for knocking out other Pokémon belonging to a gym leader or E4 member, Dragonite will withdraw from battle for the remainder of the match (So realistically, you can only use Dragonite once per gym/elite if you're planning on having it KO the opponent). When in a double battle, Dragonite will attack once any teammate that KOs an opponent.

- Unarguably resilient
- Fearow is the closest thing to the cormorant bird among flying types that I know of, but you my friend need coverage. Skarmory is now in an unique position as the Liver Gagana to help its teammates
- Slender, but fit and strong all the same

Cthulhu is Dreaming: This Pokémon is inexplicably terrified of water and enters a mild state of delusion when surrounded by it. For every surf area that you happen to cross, Skarmory will lose its will to fight until you land ashore.


These are your Special Missions, so beware!

- Ace Attorney Trainer: You must not avoid trainer battles and are obligated to fight every legendary available in your game. You must also walk by foot the entire game, bicycles are for the faint of heart (Cycling road is the exception to the rule).
- Respectable Figure: You have to talk to everyone you encounter, aiding in their quest and listening to their concerns. Mind your image by never selling any items.

Burning with desire to journey once more, you take it upon yourself to reinvent what it means to be a veteran as you make way to Mt. Silver... So who was it that you said you've always wanted to see again?

Assigned Team:

- Arcanine is a resourceful and dependable Pokémon
- Design has similarities to that of a mythical fire-breathing tiger/dog
- If Suarez had fangs, that bite would have been lit

Brave Frontier: This is a fearless Pokémon, so be sure to always leave scouting up to Arcanine and have him lead the party, as well as never flee from wilds.
Optional: Leaders should aspire to be wise. Wise Arcanine can only be taught special moves.

- Charizard is an essential member of Red's team as Dragonite will be to yours
- You can travel far and wide on its back

Mercy On Call: This Pokémon believes in a just and compassionate world, and is often defiant towards its trainer. As penalty for knocking out other Pokémon belonging to a gym leader or E4 member, Dragonite will withdraw from battle for the remainder of the match (So realistically, you can only use Dragonite once per gym/elite if you're planning on having it KO the opponent). When in a double battle, Dragonite will attack once any teammate that KOs an opponent.

- Unarguably resilient
- Fearow is the closest thing to the cormorant bird among flying types that I know of, but you my friend need coverage. Skarmory is now in an unique position as the Liver Gagana to help its teammates
- Slender, but fit and strong all the same

Cthulhu is Dreaming: This Pokémon is inexplicably terrified of water and enters a mild state of delusion when surrounded by it. For every surf area that you happen to cross, Skarmory will lose its will to fight until you land ashore.


These are your Special Missions, so beware!

- Ace Attorney Trainer: You must not avoid trainer battles and are obligated to fight every legendary available in your game. You must also walk by foot the entire game, bicycles are for the faint of heart (Cycling road is the exception to the rule).
- Respectable Figure: You have to talk to everyone you encounter, aiding in their quest and listening to their concerns. Mind your image by never selling any items.

Thanks for the team, it's really something that I can work with. I also love the aspect of being a veteran of the "war" that Lt. Surge speaks of. I was wondering, since I have to generate a Skarmory to use, can I do the same for a Growlithe and a Dratini at the start of the game? I only ask because I don't get either until I reach at least Celadon City and it would be most convenient, and would probably make the most sense seeing as how Arcanine is supposed to be my team leader and Dragonite is my most important team member.

In addition to that, I have 2 concerns:

1. If Dragonite is supposed to be as integral to my team as Charizard's was to Red's team, does it really make sense that I can only use him once in my battles against Gym Leaders and the Elite Four?

2. Cormorants are aquatic birds. Doesn't seem to make much sense that Skarmory's completely useless over the water.

Update 1 is finally here! Sorry it took so long, real life crap was taking up my time. Also I learned how to use spoiler tags, so now I won't waster so much space :D

Journey so far:

Started with Treecko for cut slave and to get past Roxxane. After I finished with all of the beginning stuff, I got to Dewford town, where I picked up my first Pokemon, Tentacool! I went through Granite Cave and picked up my Sableye when I left. I challenged the Gym, which got Tentacool and Sableye some nice EXP. I then went to Slateport Beach, where I ended for the day.

Cyanide is the name of a highly toxic compound substance, KCN, or more commonly known as potassium cyanide. It is highly toxic, and is highly soluble in water. Tentacruel is a water/poison type, so I saw this fit all too well. As I generally prefer hyper-offensive sweeper style teams, I found how quick cyanide kills similar to what I want Tentacruel to accomplish.
