You love working with mammalian Pokémon, especially horse-like Pokémon. When you train your Pokémon, your main goal is to help them achieve their full potential.
Because of that, when your Pokémon attempts to learn a new move, you have to forget an older move to make room for it. You may only relearn old moves after the Pokémon has learned every move it can.

Team:
Rapidash - horse, slender – Your favorite, you love to ride on its back along the beach. Whenever you are on or near a beach, this Pokémon has to be at the first position in your team.

Pelipper – bird, blue/white, water-type – your trusted companion that helps you get wherever you want. It has to learn Fly and Surf.

Luxray – cat, electric, blue, lion – It is a powerful and energetic Pokémon that reflects your inner desire to bring out the best in anyone. It has to have the ability Rivalry.

Special Mission:
You want to help many Pokémon achieve their true potential. As soon as possible, you must have three additional Pokémon in your team who are at least within twenty levels of your main team. These Pokémon don't have to be the same the whole game. You can always catch a new Pokémon to replace a weaker one.

Update #1: Getting Started!
This run is taking place on Pokemon Diamond.

It took a while to get into the swing of things, having not played for so long. As excited I was to begin getting my team together, I couldn't catch the majority of the team given to me until after the first gym. With that thought in mind, I chose a Turtwig for my starter, naming him Beans.

We trundled along, finding things easy enough with his super defense. A Shinx was quickly added to the team, a female named Iya. She needed a bit of training before she started to hold her own in battles, as her stats weren't the greatest. But it was the first one I came across, I decided to keep her anyway.

We got to Oreburgh City easily enough and added a Machop to the team, named Remy. I've never trained one of them before so I thought this might be a good time. Instantly he was able to hold his own in battle. Choice.

Roark was taken on with Beans and Remy and won easily. With that done, it was off to Floaroma Town! Along the way, the team leveled up a little and Iya evolved. A Geodude was also caught and taught Rocksmash.

Update 1:

Now begins a tale of a Pokemon trainer new
That begin with a gift box and his childhood friends
Cheren and Bianca came by to receive
The small wondrous creatures that waited inside
As the home was his, it was deemed only fair
That the trainer should get first choice of the three
He chose Oshawott, with its shiny shell
With Tepig for Bianca, and Snivy for Cheren
He battled them both and won with some ease
But oh! His room was a mess to behold
Downstairs they went to apologize to his mom
But she said "No worries" and smiled quite broadly
They then went to see the one who had been so generous
(Though Bianca's dad was rather resistant)
To professor Juniper's lab they headed so quick
She greeted them warmly, then got down to business
"I want your help with my research, you see
I shall give you each a Pokedex for you to fill for me
Go out in the world, and meet Pokemon where you can
And learn all about them, such fun you will have."
We traveled along to Accumula Town along Route 1
To the Pokemon Center we went for some rest
I learned how to heal my Pokemon well
And explore my PC, an important task
The professor left me to continue on
And I checked my PC, to become familiar,
What's this? There's an egg in my box!
And a note attached, which read as follows:
"I sense potential in you, so I give you a gift
The Pokemon that hatches will be your greatest
Treat it with care, and help it to grow"
There was no name on the note, but i cared not
I hatched the egg, and what should I find
But a feisty Axew who took to my side
Oshawott balked and refused to listen
So I boxed him away, and went out to train
I named my Axew Scales and battled the wild Pokemon
Scales grew fast and strong, the note was quite right
Back in town, a speech was under way
A man named Ghetsis pleaded: "Release your Pokemon today"
Afterward I battled a young trainer named N
Scales won very quickly, and I went on my way
On my next route mom met me with a gift
Shoes for running and getting around quick
I battled Bianca and once once again
She smiled and said "See you later, my friend"
I made it to Striaton, a charming little town
And trained in the Dreamyard, where I soon found
A trainer who gave me a Pansear most friendly
I took to him quickly, he was so full of life
I nicknamed him Heat Wave, a friend for life
I found Cheren and defeated him quick
And beat Cilan the gym leader, Scales beat him real slick
I helped Fennel obtain dream mist and in so doing
Encountered Team Plasma, an unsavory crew
I saved a Munna that they had been hurting
And received a Pal Pad and continued my journey
I ventured down Route 3 and beat Cheren again
The we teamed up to beat Team Plasma again
They stole a kid's Pokemon, now that wouldn't do
We took them down fast, Scales' strength shining through
I made it to Nacrene, and beat N again
Then challenged the gym, and made it to the end
Lenora's team fought hard, but Scales was too strong
A second badge mine, but victory was brief
For Team Plasma was back, and were up to old tricks
What could they be up to? That's a tale for next time.

Team Plasma was back and up to no good
They stole an old skull and made their escape good
Our hero pursued them along with another
Burgh, the Castelia City gym leaeder
Through Pinwheel Forest they chased the bandits
And put the skull back in Lenora's hands
Then it was over the bridge to Castelia City
A bigger place he never did see
On a dock he met a man who gave him a Fire Stone
He put it way, just in case
Onto the gym, he headed real quick
But a battle with Burgh would have to wait
For good friend Bianca was in a bit of a state
Team Plasma had stolen her Munna away
Away the heroes went to retrieve her cherished friend
As another gym leader, Iris, stayed by Bianca's side
After battling Team Plasma, Munna was returned safe and sound
And so into the gym our hero went to earn his next badge
The switches inside merely a small delay
Burgh went down fast, but his Leavanny proved rather tough
Scales fought hard but went down even still
Heat Wave finished the battle and the badge was hard won
Off to the next city our hero did dash
He battled Bianca and Cheren on the way
His team was victorious, growing stronger by the day
Once in Nimbasa, Team Plasma he battled
Saving the Day Care man and earning a bike for fast travel
N battled me again after a ferris wheel ride
And revealed he was king of Team Plasma-quite a shocking turn!
I explored an eastern path and caught a Solosis
Jelly Blob I nicknamed him, and began his training
Over the course of team traning, Jelly Blob did evolve
Duosion he became, quite sooner than expected
So too did Heat Wave evolve when the time was right
He became a Simisear, quite a fiery sight
The gym was challenged, and Elesa did fall
Scales tore through her team with nary a stall
Some more training we did, and it was finally Scales' turn
To evolve, into Fraxure, a fierce battling beast
And here is where the chapter ends, whatever will happen?

Here is Update #3:

I left Nimbasa City on my way to Driftveil
Was challenged by Cheren, and won yet again
Elesa introduced us to a famous gentleman
Alder, the Unova Pokemon League Champion
He told us that many types of trainers exist
And soon we were on our way, new knowledge we'd found
Elesa got us access to the Driftveil drawbridge
And into the town we traveled eagerly
The gym leader, Clay, was not a happy man
He blamed us for the escape of some Team Plasma rogues
We tracked them to the city's Cold Storage warehouse
And rounded them up much to Clay's joy
He told us that we could challenge his gym
But as we approached, there was Ghetsis again
He took his grunts with him and left the town
And I entered the gym and began my challenge
I fought my way to Clay, and it wasn't too hard
But Scales fell to Excadrill-what a rough Pokemon!
Jelly Blob finished the job and the badge was all mine
But Clay has another task for me before his TM I receive....

The entrance to Chargestone is where I met Clay
He gave me a TM and was on his way
Inside the three strangers appeared
The Shadow Triad, they called themselves
They worked for N, who was lurking nearby
"Come find me" he said, and he scurried away
I made it through Team Plasma and at the exit
N awaited and a battle we had
The hero was victorious, and N left again
At Mistralton I met Skyla who went
To Celestial Tower, a sick Pokemon to help
The hero went to help, then trained for a bit
And Scales evolved once more, a sight it was to see!
He became a fierce Haxorus, a terror to behold
Yet he was still loyal and friendly, with a heart of bright gold
They challenged the gym and Scales won all alone
He defeated Skyla and badge 6 was the prize
Then off to Twist Mountain after a battle with Cheren
On to Icirrus City, and badge number 7
Scales had the type weakness but triumphed still
His strength was inspiring, his training shown through
Outside the Shadow Triad had a message for me
"Come to Dragonspiral Tower, N wishes to see you"
Brycen and Cheren went to the tower real quick
And the hero followed behind at a swift and sure pace.

Sorry if I skipped somebody, I'm basing the list on the fact that the last person to be done was the Eagle, at the top of the page.

In unrelated news...

Just making it clear I did NOT ABANDON THIS.

The artifact laptop on which I have my ROM is not working very well. For the first week or so, yes, I was having motivational issues, but for the past week I really could not play. I might transfer this to my Platinum cartridge, but on the Personality part of the challenge, I could only use Magnemite & Paras early in the game, for lack of hacking. Unless you can get Sableye in HG/SS, but I doubt that...

EDIT:
Finally finished transferring all my pokemon to Black! Officially started my Platinum cartridge up!

Now, I'm not doing the exact same team as Voltwhite, largely because I'm not able to get some pokemon early enough in-game. I can trade one or two pokemon that are available easily in HeartGold, but no more than that.

I can trade over Paras and Magnemite. Obviously the party member I chose I will decide myself, I will see what the ground-type will be. I could get Shellos again, but I've used that pokemon before (not just for this challenge) and I wanted to expand my horizons with this challenge.

The real problem is Sableye.

I am not interested in waiting until a Swarm pops up in HG, so I need a replacement. Preferably a ghost-type, because I was really excited to have been able to use one. I have thought up some replacements, but it's ultimately up to whoever assigned me to decide.

#1: Misdreavus

This is one I'm leaning towards, mainly because just like Sableye, it's a prankster. I can get this fairly easily from HG, but it's still a minus, because I wanted to get my ghost in-game.

#2: Spiritomb

This one would make for a nice replacement too, it would have the same typing and it's known to be mischievous. But, Spiritomb is also made up of malicious spirits or something (or at least that's what it looks like 0_o) and the idea of Sableye was that it would cheer me up.

#3: Drifloon

Drifloon could melt away my stress by taking me away on a slow ride through the skies. But I think Sableye was intended to cheer me up, not relax me.

#4: Duskull

This one doesn't really fit with the whole "cheer up" thing, so this one is least likely.

The other option is Ghastly, but I used that on HG (and I still haven't completely finished HG!) I want to do something new.
