I am having a somewhat hard time deciding on what Pokemon to include on my team beyond the first three at the E4. I am currently only at the fourth badge but I can not do anything other than use what I have got or can add with the throw of one or two ultra balls. I know I will use Iron Tail on the Eevee evolution when I get it. I need help resolving the Sudowood, Eevee Evolution, and Red Gyarados issues.

Flaaffy/Ampharos
Those three will definitely be taken with me. While not the most powerful, all three are important to the character I play as.
Here are current my issues:
Sudowoodo- Should I take him all the way? Once he I can get him to relearn Wood Hammer, he serves as a decent rock type who knows a great grass type move. However, he is slow and not one of the best. The character is undecided on his feelings regarding his rock-tree thing.
