Well, I learned that Fire-Type attacks will be used against Steven in the elite four, so I switched my Gloom (WAHH! I MISS SOLARBEAM) with a Vulpix. Now the problem is training it... Where should I train it? I went in the little blades of grass west of LilyCove City, however, those aren't giving good experience and not all of them are grass-type pokemon.

Maybe using Kyogre and train in the... Erm Victory Road cave? I have a feeling vulpix couldnt last 1 attack though. :dead: Thanks.

maybe in the elite four u just put vulpix at the front of you're party then switch it with a much more powerful pokemon

Umm... you're obviously not understanding what I am trying to say.

To beat some of Steven's pokemon in the E4 require a powerful Fire-type attack. Your pokemon should be at least level 40-55 before entering and my Vulpix is level 31... -_-

Knowing that, where should I train so I can level up and stuff. xD

    You understand? ^^;

Actually, I'd recommend you check the FAQs, especially the parts concerning EVs. That way, you'll boost up your stats, making for a much tougher (and always EV train first, since you can't do it later).

EVs aren't always best if you're playing solely ingame. If you plan to use your team only with the computer AI (and this is the best option), then use Exp. Share with Kyogre in Victory Road. If you do plan to use this team/Vulpix, then read the FAQ for advice on EVs, and how to make your Pokemon much much stronger.

have u tried that cheat. how u go to the day care and the pokemon that u want to go up. now go to one of those mud slidely things that u can only go up with the mach bike (cant remember).after that walk up to the mud slide and save it there. now turn it off and put new battries in and put masking tape over the top button so it pushes up.now leave it for like 5 hours and then go to the daycare and see how many levels it goes up.

that only works if you do it in an area were u can keep going up (like in gold/silver/crystal golderon city department store stares (any of them))

if you try it anywere else you would not be moving anywere hence nate gaining any actual exp on the daycare. you will also have to get ride of all phone numbers and any pokemon that evolve from happyness (if that still applies like in G/S/C with 250 steps == 1 happyness). and get rid of EVERYTHING that may interfeir with stopping the game for any reason like phonecalls (in the game of course) and egg hatching and stuff like that.

i hope you understand all that

    cheers

death jaws. i dont think u understand that im talking about ruby and sapphire.

i do understand but about the day care...cant be much different in the steps thing though...just ignore the rest :)

Happy Dude and Death Jaws, you are just confusing me and I don't cheat. I want to win fair and square.

    TIG:

*is going to act like a total noob*

What's EV? XD And how do you experience share? Thanks. x.x... Pardon my noobishness.

EDIT: Could you please give me a direct link to the "EV" FAQ page. ^^; Thanks.

Look at the red text. xD -- How do you do EXP share? :(

Exp. Share is an item. You give your vulpix it to hold, while your stronger pok?mon battle wherever you like. From this item, your vulpix will always gain half the experience points. If the vulpix was in the fight, it'd gain more than half. You can find this item in Rustboro City or the Lilycove Dept. Store.

    I hope that helped.
