4th Gen Training Spot?

I'm very bad when I play Pokemon in that I don't keep my pokemon to a good level. So now I have to catch up my pokes. They're currently around 26 and I just got my 4th badge. Where's a good spot to train em? Aka grind em.

Thing with the 4th badge is that you can go either east or west of Ecruteak to continue onwards for the 5th/6th or 7th badges. Lots of trainers either way you go, and the grass routes would have the strongest Pokemon there as well. On top of that after the 4th gym you get surf - there's a few trainers if you surf south of Goldenrod/in route 34, and a fair bit in Union Cave as well if you explore, and even one in Ruins of Alph if you go in via Union Cave.
