    Hey guys

    Any idea where I should train my pokemon? I managed to beat the eighth gym BARELY with 4 pokemon levels 38 - 40.... where should I train them?

    Machop (or whatever the second evolution of it is)
    Onix
    Feraligatr
    Nidoqueen

    I know this is a pretty crappy team, but I really dont care. My goal is just to get through the game ASAP, then get my dream team.

    So any suggestions? I know I cant beat the league at my current levels.

    Well, if you can manage to make it to Victory Road, then you can train there. The levels there are literally about the highest (wild) you'll find in the entire game (possibly besides Mt. Silver).

    I'm about to go against Blaine, and I've been training there. ^-^;;;

    6 Pokemon at level 40 should be fine. Catch 2 more, then if you need grind at the cave before the Elite 4. Also, stock up on healing items. If you have trouble keep fighting the Elite 4 , eventually you'll grind your Pokemon to a higher level be trial and error and beat them.

    The best location to train is in Victory Road to be honest. It's the place before reaching the League and it has some strong Pokémon that can help level you up quickly. At the right levels, your team should be fine. Considering it's only four, you may have a difficult time, but just level up to a high enough level until you think you're ready to try your shot against the Elite. What was said in the above posts would also come in handy to know too.

    Not all people do this, but if you challenge the Elite and lose the first few times, maybe it's best you not restart your DS as the Exp. Points you build up after each loss still gives you another step closer to another level higher, but that'll be your decision to make.

    Please use the HG/SS Help Thread for questions though.
