Translation of Pokemon Fire Red in Malayalam(മലയാളം) [Recruiting]

Hello! I am The Falcon of The Night. I know that most of you have never even heard of Malayalam. It is a language spoken in Kerala State of India. Malayalam is an Indic Script. I want The Pokemon Fire Red game to be translated in the original Malayalam script (ie,മലയാളം and not Malayalam). So if there are any hackers willingly to help me, it would be a great help. I can probably handle all the translation but since I don't have enough experience in hacking, I would appreciate any help in hacking and similiar areas. With Regards, The Falcon of The Night.

But I don't know how to insert it in the rom (BTW, malayalam language have more bytes compared to english ones and it can only be shown in unicode encoding, will not work in any other encoding including ansi, ascii and any other).

a lot of what you'll probably end up doing is literally overwriting other options. if you do not plan on any english characters appearing in-game, then why make it possible for them to appear? naturally, this semi-breaks compatibility with foreign cartridges, but that's hard to come by anyways. how many characters are a part of the malayalam language?

Malayalam has 56 alphabets. And it won't mean anything if I dont make malayalam alphabets appear. People translate to Spanish and Portugese all the time so why can't it be translated into malayalam.

it's really easy into spanish/portuguese because roman-based letters i.e. same letters as english. malayalam does not natively appear in pokémon fr

You would have to edit the font, reprogram the font renderer, then edit all images with writing. If you get a hold of knizz's IDB, check the entry for Fboxes, those are fonts.

I think it's a good idea. But I think that translation of game requires a lot of work and it's not so easy to do. Last time I needed to translade docs into the rare language guys from this agency helped me a lot. I wanted to enter the Uni in Thailand and I had to translate all required docs as soon as possible.
