4th Gen Trying to catch Dialga in HG

    In order to activate the Arceus event, can I cheat to catch any Arceus in D/P and trade it onto HG or does it have to be the event Arceues?
     
    If you use the Action Replay to get Arceus, the Arceus is still legal... sort of. You only cheat to bring in the flute. so the arcesu is real. I did this myself.

    There is a way of getting Arceus without AR in Heartgold or having to attend an event.

    It must be the event Arceus.
    Any other Arceus will never activate the Shinjoh ruins.
     
    Actually, my friend did it with his Hall of Origin Arceus.
    So, it has to be an Azure Flute one, not a random encounter one.
    It is an event in DPP, one which you must cheat for, since it was never officially distributed.

    Kinda.... Although that Arceus will apparently activate the event (despite the fact none should exist as there never was an event for it, but, well, hackers gonna hack), there was a different Event Arceus given out over wifi and even in multiple countries besides Japan. The event ended ages ago though, but you can trade for someone's legit Arceus to do the in-game event, and probably the evnt Game Freak intended one to use for the HGSS in-game event, not the never-made-use-of one.
