A simple poll to see how much the anime-related term, "tundere"(ツンデレ) is known inside the anime community here XD

While this word is commonly used in Japanese anime sites/forums, I rarely see it in English sites (except really hardcore indepth anime sites/blogs/forums), so I got curious.

oh ya forgot blueboy forgot to put tsundere into his guide XD
actually i was probably too lazy to do it myself, but meh

should someone like tell them or keep it a secret for this thread or something? o.o

Tell them, the more that know the better...sorta. *too lazy to edi the guide*

    ok then...

ah meh, the term "Tsundere" really refers to um...how to word this...ah...

Um...there's this one saying, sorta that says "Violence is a symbol of love"...sorta...

anywho, Tsundere comes from 2 onomatopoeia "Tsun Tsun" and "Dere Dere" Tsun Tsun" basically sorta means hate, as it is characterized by the vein popping outa people's heads when they're annoyed. "Dere Dere" is basically love.

put taht together and you get Tsundere. It basically refers to a trait in which the girl hates your guts and it turns to love later on. Found in many romance/dating sim games.

ah needed help on the explanation...ALL HAIL WIKI

Sweet, so there are guys here who knows what tundere means!

I thought about linking to the allmighty Wikipedia too, but the entry on tundere there got deleted :/

I guess a few examples will help:

    - Shana (Shakugan no Shana)
    - Suigintou (Rozen Maiden) [Although she's more of a tuntuntuntuntundere]
    - Haruhi (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutu) [But she rarely shows here dere-side]

    Anymore?

I believe some japanese use different romaji's. Like Kannaduki no Miko, which I pretty much spell Kannazuki no Miko. So anyway...

True that. Kannaduki = Kannazuki, Tundere = Tsundere
Higurashi no Naku Koroni = Higurasi no Naku Koroni etc etc...

Am I the only who thinks that the last option about Tsundere is moe? =O
