4th Gen Turtwig, Chimchar, Pinplup and other things I need help with

I started off my Diamond game with a PINPLUP. I know I have to catch all the Pokemon in the Sinnoh region to be able to get my National Pokedex~how, though, am I supposed to capture a Chimchar and a Turtwig when the only way you can obtain them is at the beginning when you open the Professor's suitcase?

Also, does obtaining the National Pokedex mean you can catch all the other Pokemon that exist. Because the other day I was looking through my Pokemon game guide and it said 'to obtain [a particular item] walk in Amity Square with Shroomish or Jigglypuff after obtaining the National Pokedex. <Just wondering this out of interest...

You only need to see all the pokemon to get the national dex, trainers will have them.

yeah your rivals have the other starters so you should have already seen them unless you just started and to see the other Legendary (Dialga or Palkia) go to Celestic Town and some Old Lady will show you a picture (I think)

you can also get on GTS and trade for one

In almost every pokemon game, the expectation was always to trade for the other starter pokemon. there was never a way to catch the other staters that you didn't pick. in games like pokemon yellow, crystal, emerald. you could obtain the other two starters without trading.

No to get your national Dex aall yuo have to do is see all the pokemon and you will and should do so by the end of you journey then after go to Celestic Town and one of the old lady's in the house will give you the data on Palkia
