tutorial to fix fire red evolutions block?

    hi im new to rom hacking. im trying to hack fire red but i realized the fakemon ive added wont evolve. I know now that this is because I dont have the national dex and that just giving the national dex messes up the e4. ive seen people say u can turn this off in the script but there instructions are too vague for me too understand considering i have no scripting experience. Any help is much appreciated <3
