5th Gen Types in BW?

I'm happy there were more ghost pokemon this gen, and some other typings like dark/dragon, bug/electric, and others like fire ghosts, and water ghosts.

I like most of the typings, actually. For one, Denchura, bug/electric, is awesome, since for some reason it really does make sense, and then you wonder whyyyy it hasn't been brought in earlier. XD;

As for the ghosts, pretty good that there's a few more. Disappointed with lack of ice types, though. And pure flying would have been better on something better than a genie, tbh. Aaand, Emboar (I still don't like how this is a confirmed name XD;) being fighting/fire isn't that bad to me, but I'd rather if Futachimaru/Daikenki had it, which makes a lot more sense. Other than that, the other typings don't interest me as much.

Just like Forever, I like the combination of Bug/Electric.
I also like the Dragon/Dark Pokemon, the one with 3 heads and 6 wings :P
What else do I like?
Hmm... Reshiram's typing (Dragon/Fire) and the three candle Pokemon's typing (Fire/Ghost) and the light blue jellyfish (Water/Ghost). Also, Normal/Grass.

That's pretty much it.

I love the new Bug/Fire typing. I have found a new love for:
[PokeCommunity.com] Types in BW?
because of its powerfulness and powerhouse typing. Bug/Fire FTW!! Its only major weakness is rock and water, and flying. Just 3 types! And it is super effective against 5 types.

Black white pokemon type mistakes

what pokemon in black/white did you think that the creators should have mede the pokemon this type instead of that type.

Example: this evolution line is only electric, i believe that they should deffinately be half water, their electric eels! they should be half water. and if you look at the last evo he doesnt even look electric type, he looks like a Water/dark type.

Do you agree, disagree? what other pokemon have bad types?

Its nice to see that we got some new combos for fighting, its a shame that they're legendaries, however.

Ghost/Fire
Dark/Dragon
Electric/Bug
Ground/Ghost

The list goes on..

Dark/Dragon, Ghost/Fire, Electric/Bug and Bug/Fire would have to be my Favorite combos in B&W. Ground/Ghost is pretty cool too, but i don't really care for that actual Pokemon. :/

Pretty much this, as well as Ground/Dark. :r I actually like the design of the Ground/Ghost Pokemon though. I think it's pretty cool. :P

I'm in love with pretty much all the types isted thus far, but:

Ground/Ghost:

Weak to: Water, Grass, Ghost, Dark, Ice
Resistant to: Poison, Rock, Bug
Neutralizes: Electric, Normal, Fighting

As nice as it is that this typing has resistance to three of the most popular move-types, it's also weak to five of the other most popular types. It does only take a fourth of the damage from Poison types, but that's pretty much crap unless you plan on making your Golem a tank against Poison-teams.

Discuss?

Uh... Fighting... =_=

Personally, I think there are WAY too many Fighting types; I've never liked Fighting types anyway. I think there needs to be more Psychic Pokemon. They last game to have a decent amount of Psychic Pokemon was Emerald.

However, I must admit, the designs of the Fighting types in Black and White are very well done.

I have heard people complain about there being too many psychic types last gen actually...same with water now look at what happened to water, it's dried up :(

The only thing I have against the typings of this generation are those of the starters. In Gen IV, you started with the triangle of Grass->Water->Fire, and then ALMOST had a reverse triangle by giving them Ground, Steel, and Fighting secondary types. I would have liked for that to become a tradition. Instead, one Fire/Fighting and plain Grass and plain Water seem like a wasted opportunity. Just like in HG/SS, I'm finding my starter gradually relegated to the bench in favor of pokemon that I find to be more interesting.

And then there's Emonga. I don't care if it's stats suck (and when you look at it, they really don't suck as much as people are saying), an Electric/Flying non-legendary is awesome! I brought a bunch of ground types into the Electric Gym and was almost royally screwed over. The only things Emonga is weak to are Rock and Ice, which don't occur much in the course of a normal game!
