    defense:268
    sp.atk:280

    Tyranitar- [atk or speed + / sp.atk -] @ leftovers
    EV: atk, speed
    -dragon dance
    -taunt/HP Ghost
    -earthquake
    -rock slide

and i'll shift this to strategy section for you...

Well as for T-Tar i myself like to use HP ghost instead of crunch and in frosty's case taunt.........
I just guess its more useful against those Claydols
    but then again.................................

those moves SUCK she should have:
    Hyperbeam
    Earthquake
    Fireblast
    Thunderbolt

hey my tyranitar is male and fire blast its not a good attack to have in a tyranitar.

don't worry just ignore the "I know everything"-ers and other various lackwits who pretty much spammed my RSE forum almost beyond recognition with almost-spamming topics... >_>; It's an instant "what the heck?" when you see hyperbeam on anything but Slaking. Anyway, Tyranitar is still a natural born physical attacker, and really there's not much reasons to use special attacks on it without some very good reason...

And before anyone starts anything stupid, saying "I taught it thunderbolt to pwn those water types ahahaha" is not a valid answer.

I have a unique style, I usually give my pokemon moves to be able to beat their weaknesses, it's hillarious when a starmie gets killed by a giga drain from flygon, or similar.

but if an earthquake against Starmie will do more damage than the thunderbolt against Starmie... why bother with the thunderbolt?

Because someone may have the idea of using gyarados with earthquake against you, or may have a water pokemon EV'd with extremely high defense, but not nearly as much special defense.

    it's not like Gyarados will die from tbolt of Tyranitar anyway, unless you dump massive EVs on it, and by then why not just take out the entire thing for like Starmie or Gengar... O.o;

Rock Slide is already super-effective against Gyarados. You'd get a STAB for using it, and Gyarados has weaker PhDf than SpDf. Since Tyrantitar doesn't have a great SPAt, why waste EVs for an attack that probably wouldn't do much more damage than Rock Slide. Plus, Rock Slide has the possibility of flinching the opponent.

A single Pok?mon should not be desinged to take on everything under the sun. It should be able to handle most situations, but it doesn't need to handle all situations. That's what the rest of your squad is for.

You said it yourself. MOST. The pure physical tyranitar just needs a pokemon with ice beam or earthquake to KO it. Which means just about any water type, and a lot of others such as blaziken, heracross, and so on. I don't train my pokemon to take on everything, I train them to take on a lot of things. What I see is usually too restrictive, and my movesets work better for me then just about anything I've seen other places, so I'll continue to use them. I was simply saying, that just because it may make the "best" of a pokemon in yours, or several, or the majority of opinions, doesn't mean it's the outright "best".

What is Hp ghost? And is using Taunt really effective?

HP Ghost = Hidden Power Ghost. It's a way to hit Ghost types (especially Gengar, who is immune to Earthquake).

Taunt is very useful, as a way to stop people using some of the nastier moves. Here's an example of the stuff people can't use while Taunt is in effect:

    Atrract
    Bulk Up
    Calm Mind
    Confuse Ray
    Haze
    Hypnosis
    Leech Seed
    Roar
    Swords Dance
    Thunder Wave
    Toxic
    Will-O-Wisp

These are just some of the moves Taunt negates. A pretty nasty selection of moves, especially when combined (Confused, Attracted and Burned all at once is never a nice place to be).
