[PokeCommunity.com] Ultimate Pokedex-Accurate Dual-Type Pokemon Personality Type Test
    OVERVIEW

Hear me out: I know that "What Pokemon type are you?" quizzes are super common, but as far as I know, this one is attempting something that hasn't been attempted before.

After literal years of researching, compiling, and analyzing data of EVERY Pokedex entry, from EVERY game, for EVERY Pokemon (yes, really, thank goodness for Bulbapedia), I'm so happy to finally be able to share this: the Ultimate Pokedex-Accurate Dual-Type Pokemon Personality Type Test!
(see below if you're curious about the process!)

    RESULTS INCLUDE
    - Your Monotype, Primary, and Secondary Types
    - 'Top 3' options for each of those
    - Three most likely attributes from your hypothetical Pokedex entry (out of 46 possible traits)

    ADDITIONAL FEATURES
    - 50 oddly-nuanced questions
    - 'Type Comparison' section
    - ...nothing else, it is still just a personality test I guess

    THE ANALYSIS PROCESS
In case you don't want to take my word for it - as you shouldn't! - here are the steps I took to make this:
    1. Compiled the data from every Pokedex entry into one single description (around 1-3 paragraphs per Pokemon).
    2. Quickly scanned those descriptions to get a sense of what might be common traits (e.g. "Toxic", "Helpful", "Ancient", etc.).
    3. Read through all of those descriptions again and wrote down specific instances of traits for each Pokemon.
    4. Compiled those traits based on type, and separated into Monotype, Primary, and Secondary.
    5. Whittled and combined things where appropriate (e.g. merged "Intimidating" and "Unapproachable") and cut traits that didn't end up being relevant enough. (sorry, "Discerning (Food/Objects")
NOTE: These traits are the actual thing that the questions on the test is asking around, and then at the very end, those traits are used to calculate the final result.
    6. Noted commonality within each type, as a percentage.
    7. Compared and ranked percentages between types, using a bunch of statistics and standard deviations and junk (don't get me started).
    8. If something was relatively common, or noticeably absent, then BAM! - that became a distinction that was worth mentioning in the final description.
    9. Did a final analysis of Mono, Primary, and Secondary for each type, to make sure that there weren't outliers that were better explained by the other half of a dual-type.
    10. Filled in gaps and made educated guesses for Pokemon types that STILL don't have a lot of data (specifically, Flying monotype, Fairy-primary, and Bug-secondary)
    11. Finally, translated the more Pokemon-specific traits (surprisingly few!) into things more common for humans (e.g. "Shedding", which referred to any Pokemon who is constantly spraying harmful substances, like poison gas, electricity, freezing air, etc, was translated into being inconsiderate of others.)

There's also a bonus step you could insert anywhere of "screwed up and had to start over".

SCREENSHOTS (sorry they're so big, it's pretty text-heavy)

    Very nice.

Good UI, other than some of the answers' text being anti-aliased and fuzzy.

The questions themselves were well thought-out and almost always provided a satisfying answer to choose that reflected my feelings.
Personally, I would want to see the numbers; how prominent those top three types were. I've noticed I frequently end up with my top personality types being very close when I take these, and without the numbers I can't see whether I'm very clearly a certain type or if it's barely over the other ones.

This is such a helpful comment! Firstly, I also don't like that some of the text answers are anti-aliased/fuzzy - I thought maybe it was a trick of my eyes or something, but I really ought to figure out the best way to make it crisp and consistent...

MORE IMPORTANTLY THOUGH, I've actually been mulling this over for a couple days, because originally, I was gonna be like, "The final calculations aren't expressed as percentages, so it might not be the most meaningful," but then it's like... why aren't the final calculations expressed as percentages, Bonsly?? So you raise a very good point, and in altering that expression, I think I could actually make things a little more accurate too. It might not have the biggest impact on the results, but at the very least, having those numbers visible at the end would indeed be cool to have!

So thank you for bringing this to my attention! - I reckon I've now got a project this week :)

Had so much fun! Amazing job.
I'm poison monotype, bug primary and poison secondary. I wasn't expecting to see poison at all but the description fits like a glove. I am impressed by how well-suited the personality reading matches with me.

Man, I really don't do personality quizzes, like, ever.

But I really enjoyed this one! Even the quiz telling me I'm basically an anti-social, easy-going bug/grass type felt satisfying and on-point! The answers really did feel varied and tailored to me. It was great!

Hi! This Pokemon type personality test is really good 🥰
I got a Fairy monotype, a Psychic primary type, and a Grass secondary type. One of my favorite Pokemon, Gardevoir, is even there (a Psychic/Fairy to boot!) in the art

Quality is excellent in all of its aspects - from the writing, the art, the questions, and the number of choices potentially covering the uniqueness its testtakers would have. I'm compelled to think that you may have an actual academic and/or work background aligned in test development. Or not. But your work involved serious factor analysis involving personality traits so... I'm just amazed. Really.

Part of this message is some "bug reports" though. I think I saw some typos regarding some of the text shown in the results of the test.
Fairy monotype text spiel: "Fairy types are much more likely share their secrets..." (missing "to", much more likely to)
Coolheaded Pokedex entry spiel: "...more clever than your average Pokemon, are you have some unique quality..." (instead of "are", should be "or". Pokemon, or you have some...)

Overall, you did great Professor! I look forward to sharing your work to others 😁

Fun! This quiz really felt like it had some research behind it, thanks for making it!

I got Ice monotype and Ice primary/Normal secondary, which makes me an unreleased type combo ^^

I'd be curious to see how common each of the types are
