4th Gen Umbreon/Espeon or Growlithe/Arcanine

Well I ran into a bit of a problem with my heartgold team... I can't decide between Umbreon/Espeon or Growlithe/Arcanine...

I guess it would help you to know my team;

It currently is:

Alakazam
Croconaw
Larvitar (Special Moveset Bred)
Zubat (Going for Crobat)
Flaafy (Missed getting an Electric type in Soulsilver)


As you can see I need to fill in that last spot, but I can't decide between Growlithe or one of the Eevee Friendship Evos

If I should go with the friendship evos which one or if I go with the growlithe should I evolve to get extreme speed or should I wait until it learns Flare Blitz.

If I were you, I'd go for extreme speed Growlithe. Just cause it's awesome, and I don't get to use him that often. =)

id say Growlithe because u do not have a fire type yet and depending on the nature (if it is adamant or something with an attack based nature) wait for flare blitz

I suggest that you get an Arcanine, since there is already a Psychic-type Pokemon in your slot. You can also evolve that Larvitar into a Tyranitar, thus making it part Dark-type.

That would depend on the other moves your Growlithe/Arcanine would have. If you plan on it having a Fire type attack like Flamethrower/Fire Blast then I don't see a need to have another one like Flare Blitz so I'd go for Extreme Speed

Go for Growlithe, with feraligatr and larvitar you have enough dark type moves (e.g. crunch!)

Rule of thumb for in-game teams, you can use whatever you like because all Pokémon will work fine, even duplicate types. :) However, go with Arcanine, evolve it to learn Extreme Speed and substitute Flare Blitz for Flamethrower. You'll be better off that way.

Anyway, again no questions on in-game teams, you can use whatever you like and still beat the game.
