    Thanks to AnimeonDVD.com, Funimation has licensed the TV Anime Series Gunslinger Girl. But, a major surprise was they also announced that 4KIDS has given them the rights to release Uncut and Subtitled DVDs of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters and Shaman King. They will contain 3 Episodes each, and the first DVDs should be out sometime in October, 2 volumes of each series.

    ya...i saw a thread like this in another forum...supposively the YGO will start from the very beginning when yugi puts together the puzzle for the first time...and meet jonouchi(or however u spell that XD)...
     
    Isn't this old news? I could've sworn saw this news on Anime News Network about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Oh well, yeah, it's great news, I hope One Piece DVDs are released by Funi too.
     
    umm...kirby is allready uncut...its really just a kids show you know that right?

    No, Ji984jj according to blue, they don't need the license to make sub-titled and uncut DVDs. :shocked:

    All funimation has is the rights to distribute the dvds nothing else in fact its 4KIDS that is doing the UNCUT dub.

    If 4KIDS is doing the Uncut dub...

    It means that the yu-gi-oh uncut dub would be the same quality as a Funi regular dub. In other words, they'll only keep the sceens they edited out,and put "Death"instead of "The Shadow Realm".

    But I doubt they'll spend the money to change every single instance that mentioned "The Shadow Realm", into it's true meaning, "Death".
     
    They will, from what i know they are going back a redubbing the entire thing in uncut form. So more or less the only thing that will be the same are the vocies but it will all be uncut.
