Unidentified Network?

Recently, my internet has started acting up, and now I can't get on it at all. Whenever I do, it always comes up as an unidentified network with no internet access. I've literally tried everything, from uninstalling and reinstalling my network adapter to using System Restore multiple times yet none of it seems to do anything. When I tried troubleshooting, it said something along the lines of "Wireless Network Connection doesn't have a valid IP configuration." I searched around for a solution, but to no avail. Other computers on the network are working just fine, so I'm assuming it's something to do with my network adapter. I'm running Windows 7 HP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try using a different wireless card or device with it.

Find and run a programme called Winsockfix. It will reset all network settings, including the stuff you can't see. If it's not hardware related, chances are that will fix it. Otherwise, you're going to need to follow twocows' suggestion of another adaptor.

    Good luck.

Seems like that did the trick. Thanks a lot.
