3rd Gen Union Room

How much do you use the Union Room? I want to know please. I use it only to battle and chat. When I beat the Elite 4 on my FireRed, I'll start to trade to and from my Emerald.

I use it sometimes when I am with a freind and we are bored or something. If I am just trading between versions then I will just use the link up...

It is very dull and boring.

I can't use it coz the other ppl around me playing FR/LG plays the pirated version n they dont hav wireless adapters. So I just go in n walk around by myself. P.S. I'm the only one in the whole neighbourhood with an original game pak

*sigh* The Union Room would be tha greatest thing that ever happened ta pkmn if it could connect ta a local phone company an' allow battlin' with ppl from far, far away like netbattle does, plus it'd be a great way ta chat anywhere. *sigh* Well maybe one day...

I hardly ever use the Union Room, mostly because of it's dismal range. The only times I use it is when I'm trading between my Fire Red and Leaf Green.

Of course it'll happen. In the next few years? Probably not. In our lifetime? Maybe. By the next century (assuming Nintendo and other game companies including any new ones that might sprout up are still going)? Definately (assuming technological development doesn't come to a sudden hault due to worldwide economic depression or something).

The game doesn't have to be expensive either. I mean, you don't see online gaming service included when you buy a Gamecube. It's optional, isn't it? The online battling option for Pokemon (or any other game out there) could be a plug-and-play sorta thing. And to use it, you just pay a few bucks a month. They could even give you the option of connecting it to your own internet service to battle.

And as technology develops, older stuff usually gets cheaper since no one wants it that much anymore. Eventually, Cable/DSL might become the next 56k in the future when compared to new internet connections that could be developed.

Umm..whatever. I'm done with my ranting..I have more to say but..whatever.

I enver use the Union Room. No one around to use it with.

Geeze. You really didn't have to go off saying all that stuff. You sound pretty smart when it comes to technology and other relating objects, but you don't have to get all technical in a thread asking if you use the Union Room.

Oh, and I recently bought Emerald, and the Japenese Version comes with a wireless adaptor, so why wouldnt the english one? I'd use Emerald to trade/battle/mysterygift/use the Union Room with my Leaf Green(After I defeated the Elite Four, of course). But it never came with one. So, current uasage of the Union Room is not that frequent.

i hate union rooms u can do every thing except for chat in there and plus u have to do that in 10 feet. i will ring him by phone instead of come to my house and do that

Why the hell did Game Freak design this Union room anyway? Not much diference coz its just ten feet apart. You can trade with your friends straight away coz you can discuss the pokemon that you want to trade before you trade and who the hell wants to chat on the Gameboy with someone 10ft away from you when you can chat face to face within 10ft? The world of reality sure has many mysteries like the world of pokemon......

Actually the range is decent, and I can see some instances when it might be handy to use the union room for chat, or other things. Like in school if you have a study hall, but with assigned seats, you can chat and trade with your friends if they aren't next to you.
