Hello there! Welcome to the world of Unitymon! My name is Oak!

For some people, Pokémon are cards. Others use them for fights. Myself… I study Pokémon as a hobby. First, what is Unitymon?
It's a set of tools within Unity that allows you to make Pokémon games!

Right! So it's inspired by Essentials!
That's right! I dabbled with Essentials years ago. I recently heard it got taken down... So here I am.

This isn't my first time making a game, or even an engine/framework. I've been at it since you were a baby.
…Erm, how long is that again? That's right! Almost 20 years! I remember now!

Unitymon's legend is about to unfold. A world of dreams and adventures with Pokémon awaits!
Progress will be slow, as I have a family, and my existing research...

    Let's go!

I'll be posting my research and progress here, and Twitter! https://twitter.com/UnitymonDev

Now, which Pokémon do you want?

Making progress on parsing Pokémon data.

Need to implement other data types too; Items, types, moves, etc.

Been using Essentials PBS files for the experiment.

Hopefully my Aid had the latest version...

Hey! Wait! Don't go out! It's unsafe!

Experiment complete; Types can be parsed.

There are a few special cases that needed to accounted for - IsPsuedoType and IsSpecialType.

Now it'll be safe to go out... You'll be able to identify weaknesses, immunities, and resistances!

Hey! Wait! Don't go out! That was close! Errors will happen without an editor!

Currently working on some editor tools to aid in my research.

Manually editing data text files is tedious, and prone to mistakes...

Go ahead, it's yours! With editor tools, adding/removing/editing Pokémon, items, etc. will be a cinch!

"You're getting good at this. But you have a long way to go."

Changed things up. Went from more "data" focused, to ScriptableObjects. It's more Unity friendly, as well as user friendly. I've added most data types, such as moves, types, evolutions, etc. Also, been working on the tool for editing Pokémon.

    Here's some evidence 😛

"When you manage to fill it some more, come show me, please." More updates to come!

Tell you what, I'll make arrangements so that you can go to Mt. Sprite Slice.

Made a tool that let's you mass splice sprites! It'll make importing a lot of icons, characters, and Pokémon a cinch!

It's too dangerous for your average trainer, so it's off limits. But we can make an exception in your case...

Hey, prof. Oak. In Debug, there is an option that auto-adjusts all battling pokemon sprites, which spares you a lot of time, of course. Could you, similarily, make a tool that auto-adjusts (not resize) all the OW pokemon follower sprites (I have over 800 of them...)?
