So I've done plenty of monotype runs to spice up my pokemon nuzlockes but found myself wondering what I can do to take it further. Not necessarily making the challenge more difficult, but introducing a more RPG vibe to the runs to make myself more invested into the actual game. Not sure if anyone else has tried this but this is all about turning your character into more than just a sprite running around on the screen and speeding through the game with one type of pokemon, rather your character has a class which is limited to 2/3 types and has a named class (warrior, mage etc) which the types relate to. Here's a few ideas I came up with:

Dragon Knight: Uses Dragon and Steel type pokemon, with the optional addition of Fire type pokemon.

Necromancer: Uses Ghost and Poison type pokemon, with the optional addition of Dark type pokemon.

Theurgist: Uses Grass and Bug type pokemon, with the optional addition of Fairy type pokemon.

Elemental: Uses Fire and Ice type pokemon, with the optional addition of Water type pokemon.

Nightblade: Uses Dark and Fighting type pokemon, with the optional addition of Poison type pokemon.

Kraken: Uses Water and Electric type pokemon, with the optional addition of Dragon type pokemon.

Geomancer: Uses Ground and Psychic type pokemon, with the optional addition of Rock type pokemon.

Aarakocra: Uses Flying and Rock type pokemon, with the optional addition of Fighting type pokemon.

Bard: Uses Normal and Fairy type pokemon, with the optional addition of Psychic type pokemon.

It's treated like any monotype but with more than one type, so a duotype nuzlocke essentially! The pokemon you use must have the primary type of one included in your class. Or to give you more options you can include pokemon with secondary types in your class too.

I'd love to hear more ideas on class ideas for these types of runs I just tried to include every type in a unique class.

Just throwing this idea out there for people looking for a more immersive challenge since I've had a lot of fun with this concept and the combinations are extensive!

    Thanks!
