what is ur opinion on the fact that this game sort of takes place in the future from pokemon yellow. how things have changed like koga became a elite four and his daughter took over, and how blaines gym burned down lol, stuff like that

Uhhh...well, GSC were sequels to Yellow, as it was the last Gen I game.....hence why Red has all 3 starters, Pikachu (only starter in Yellow, xD), Espeon (random choice by nintendo for what his Eevee evolved into, it was going to be that or Umbreon, obviously), and Snorlax (there are 2, only 1 re-appears in GSC).

Technically speaking, Hg/Ss are sequels to Fr/Lg. Hence Red's appearance. However, to keep resemblance to being re-makes, Red has the same team, except with a Lapras (which you get in Silph. Co in Fr/Lg) and the Hail weather effect.

I'm just using Red as an example to highlight the facts, here.

i totally forgot about the red u battled in gold and silver but doesnt this red have a buizel

I think you're thinking about Ash Ketchum and not Red because Red's team is the same team he had in Gen II

i cant wait for the dp series to end >_>
ready to watch the black and white series :D
    Lolwut

Also, in a way, HG/SS IS a Yellow remake. The Pokemon following you stemmed from that but they wouldn't make everything re-made because Yellow was a sequel to Red and Blue which already have remakes.

Another similar aspect is being able to choose from the other starters later on. Sure you don't get all three, but that'd be a bit cheap, imo.

Yellow is the same storyline as Red and blue.

so yes to answer the question G/S/C and HG/SS are the sequels to R/B/Y

It's also confirmed by several websites.

But i don't think it was a good idea. Every pokemon game's storyline is weak. HURR DEFEAT THE ELITE FOUR AND STOP THE EVIL TEAM FROM TAKING POKEMON/LEGENDARIES/WORLD. so why make a sequel that follows the same horrible story mechanics. (such as a 10 year old defeating a global crime orginization)

Well, of course they are the sequels to R/B/Y!^^ There are so many hints on the storyline of R/B/Y (Red and his team, Blue, the same evil orginazation like R/B/Y, and the fact that it's everywhere mentioned that Red disbanded TR 3 years ago!^^) and such stuff!^^ So I guess you can be pretty sure, huh?^^
