    WTF?! Serously, I'm not lying. I was playing Pokemon Crystal. I healed my Totodile at the Pokemon Center after being poisoned. I talked to Nurse Joy, and waited for her to heal my Pokemon, annoyed by the hackneed phrases of "thankyou! Your Pokemon are fully healed!", bla, bla, bla. However, this time she didn't say it! I didn't read the whole thing clearly. But she said; "You Pokemon seem to be infected by (I didn't catch it). But we can't tell you anything else at a Pokemon Center."!

    When I healed them again, she didn't say it. I don't think it was anything to do with the poison Totodile got, either. Can someone please explain, or tell me if this has happened to you?
     
    Pokerus. That's what your Toto has. It's ntohing to worry about. The "virus" is a good thing. I'm not sure how it works in GSC, but in RSEFRLG, it doubles the amount of EVs your Pokemon earns from battling.
     
    That happend to me on yellow & it gave my Pikachu 2 LV's for every 1 LV I trained it up!
     
    Yup,its a Pokerus...although it have the word 'rus' on it that sounds like virus,its a good thing...be happy u got it,it actually helps u ^^
     
    Ah! Pokerus! Thankyou, guys! I can't believe it! Five years of owning GS (four with Crystal), and I'd never heard of it. If I'd waited until I was out of the Pokemon Center before I posted here, (XD), Professor Elm calls you and tells you about it. I guess I should be happy I was able to get it, though. ^^
     
    I heard that if you want pokerus, using tools like gameshark can infect your pokemon. Not that it cannot come from a natural cause.
     
    Do you get pokerus from a special thing you do or is it random?
     
    I heard you can catch pokerus if you battle lodes of wild pokemon and never run away from them with one particular pokemon. That pokemon will catch it and then it will spread through your party. So it sounds as if you and your totodile have been doing some pretty intence training! :3:

    My sister's Ho oh got it on gold. We thought it would perminantly die -(well,you cant blame us, we were only 7 and 8!) and waisted alot of potions on it because we thought it might help! lol!
    And just recently the raquaza we traded over to colusseum got it!

    Make the most of it...I heard it wears off after a while!

    I don't think you can get Pokerus in Yellow. It only excisted in GSC and FRLG
     
    I believe PokeRus is completely random. Congrats on getting it!
