Question: Username changes?

Are username changes possible? I really want to change mine.

Currently, you can't. You used to, but you can't request a name change anymore. There's a similar thread recently posted here, which will fill you in, I guess.

Username changes have not been possible since February 2010 due to the fact that every name change put immense stress on the server and would cause the site to crash even worse than it does now.

You might like to know that alternate accounts are permitted, so you could start over with a new username if you really want to.

Mmhmm, you're free to make a second account, so long as you don't make an Introduction thread for it in New Users / Welcome. You're not really 'new' when you make an alternative account, so if you make one, just start posting around like normal. :3
