Using Colloseum to trade between gamepacks

Ok, I havnt beat the game yet I still have to beat the white tower thing and I think go to snag'ems hideout. My question is will i be able to store pokemon in colloseum like in stadium or do I have to have a pokemon on Colloseum to trade for every pokemon I send to colloseum? What Im trying to do is send the pokemon i caught in fire red to colloseum (theres alot of'em), then come back and put those pokemon on my Emerald cartridge.

You need a pokemon for every1 you have on colloseum

It would be a Great idea if you could do that sadly you cant :(

yeah, what cloud said, and u know, if u really wanted to trade those pkmns from FR u could trade a bunch of nincadas to colloseum then evolve them so u can get an extra pkmn, that being shedinja, thus giving u more pkmn in colloseum to trade over to fire red. I did this because i wanted to send my valuable pkmns from sapphire to colloseum so i could start a new game, but i don't know what ur purppose is so i don't know if it might help ^_^

just get pokemon box, it works with all gba pokemon games right? well it can store like something like 50 boxes of pokemon i think.
