Using vBulletin

As an avid user of phpbb and having followed Olympus since it's conception I can tell you quite honestly that Phpbb 3.0 is far above any of the other forum software that exists out there. Vbulletin comes in with a close second.

Couple things:

- Phpbb 3.0 has a far more extensive admin control panel with both a nav menu and tabbed functions for easily and quickly getting to the things you want. Though for those not used to it, it might take a bit to get used too.

- Layout is far more professional than 2.0, and is easily a match for Vb and IPB 2.x.

- A strong community presence means that you'll see tons of mods and templates for it upon it's release.

- it's free, has more features than the others, and is easier to use.

I've tried Vbulletin, I've tried IPB 2.x, Yabb, Mybb, and SMF but nothing really compares. That's just my opinion though, I'd suggest looking at the specs of each of the forums and also deciding what things you must have for your forum, then go from there.
