What the hell happened to Vileplume? Is it still around or was it permanently replaced by Bellossom?

LOL, It's still around, one of the better grass pokemon IMO

oh okay just wondering, because I havent followed pokemon since the original 151, and i went to a comic book store yesterday and saw that gloom evolved into Bellossom

It's one of those dual evolution things. Even though i prefer Vileplume

I prefer Vileplume. Only use of the B I get is as Dex filler. I release them after. Would rather Sun Stone and keep a Sunflora.

    Yeah, like slowbro and slowking.

P.S. Poliwhirl has a spilt evolution too.

oh yeah into a really lame Pokemon I saw that too. Poliwrath was so much more bad ass than that thing.

I prefer all the first Gen evolutions. They looked better to be honest.

I mean for the last evolution stage, you want something that looks rough and tough, not something you would use as a plushie to sleep with.

Plus Vileplume is better, in terms of offense.

    You know what...

I actually think you're on to something! It's like Vileplume just poofed out of existence!! I understand with Dunsparce and Qwilfish, because they were never popular (sadly). But that is absolutely rediculous how it seemed so popular first Gen, and then Poof! It's gone in the list of Pokemon that made the cut but don't anymore. E.g. Marowak, Magmar, Dustox.

    You've made an excellent point!

Bellossom is much nicer. Vileplume and most of the first gen is only good for nostalgia. :(

I love both Vileplume and Bellossom the same. Both of them have great qualities in their own way. That being said I never noticed Bellossom getting more attention then Vileplume. If anything I never hear of either that much anymore.

Its still around, its just that its head is too heavy for it lol.

I like Vileplume. I would rather use it over Bellossom. Then again, I've always liked dual type Pokemon like Bulbasaur or Combusken. Normally, they lose a weakness or two and in some cases, gain a type advantage. It's a double edged sword, really. Scizor is really good for that. He's pretty much neutral against a lot of the other types and is immune to Poison. :)

I'm guilty. I am a 1st Gen. fanboy, but I actually PREFER Bellossom to Vileplume. Although, considering Gloom comes before it, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense...

^^^ THANK YOU!! So many of the newer generation are so gay looking.

Please don't refer to pokemon or Anything in that matter, as "gay looking"
You aren't making sense when you speak like that.

But Bellosom rocks. :3 I had one in FireRed. It IS a FINAL evo and Bellosom doesn't look like one at all, I thought Bellosom Evolved into vileplume or something haha.
