Ironspire was bustling with life. Skye often found herself very lost among the hubbub, but somehow managed to escape alive. She visited a few shops to pick up some food that she could not get back home. Since there was no Poke Mart in Sunset Village, she tended to buy more things for Fury than herself.

Walking down the crowded sidewalk, she stopped by her favorite photography supply shop, picking up a bulk order of film, and dropping off some to be developed.

"It's always so nice to see you, Skye," the old lady behind the counter, Keiko, said to her, the laugh lines around her mouth and eyes creasing as she smiled. "You're like a breath of fresh air in this stuffy city!"

"Aw...thank you," Skye said kindly, her cheeks glowing. "How has business been? I suspect a lot of people have come in since that photo competition started up!"

"Oh, it's been busy!" Keiko replied, chuckling. Her soft, slowing gray hair bounced merrily as she stocked some film cases on the shelves. "You are entering it, aren't you?"

"Oh I'm not sure," Skye replied humbly. She picked up some new developing solution, and some more clips to hang her photographs to dry. "Some of the pictures you have on the roll I gave you might be good enough, but I'm not sure."

"Well, I'm very exhausted!" Keiko said suddenly, and Skye knew what was coming next. "Why don't you and I go to lunch, and I'll close shop for a little while. We can take a look at those pictures of yours afterwards."

"Sounds wonderful!" Skye grinned, and the two walked outside to meet with Fury.

The gigantic Fearow had attracted a lot of attention, but Skye refused to put him in a pokeball. To be honest, she had never possessed a pokeball in her life, let alone used one. Fury had been an injured baby Spearow when she met him, and after Skye had nursed him back to health, he refused to leave! He had been by her side ever since.

"Why don't you visit the park, Fury?" Skye suggested. "I know how much you hate the city. You can meet me in front of Keiko's shop in a few hours okay?"

Fury nodded gratefully, and flew off briskly. Skye wastched him leave, smiling. She and Keiko continued on their way to their favorite cafe.

It wasn't a very busy place, tucked into a corner, but the food and drinks were excellent, and the service even better.

"Hello, Janet!" Skye exclaimed, rushing to hug her old high school friend. "How have you been?"

The black haired girl grinned, pleased to see Keiko and Skye.

"Oh, it's been okay," Janet replied, setting two cups of tea on the table for Keiko and Skye, and returning shortly with one for herself. "Mom and Dad took the day off. It's their anneversary you know, so I'm in charge!"

Janet rolled her eyes emphatically, and sipped her tea.

"As usual, it's been dull," Janet added.

"Well, it seems like you're doing alright," Skye said happily, stirring some sugar into her tea, and sipping carefully. She admired the paintings that cluttered the plank-wood walls. The bar stools, to her right, were vacant, and only one other person sat at the table a few meters away.

"Well, with Keiko visiting every day...she really keeps this place running!" Janet laughed, causing chuckles all around. "How's life at the beach?"

"Oh, it's been okay," Skye replied. "You should both come down sometime and visit me. I've got plenty of room in my cottage, with just Fury and I living there."

"I might have to take you up on that!" Keiko smiled. "I've been wanting to take a vacation for quite some time now."

"Well, would certainly love to have you!" Skye exclaimed happily.

Janet got up to bring them their usuals. She set a plate of lean steak and potatoes before Skye, and some shrimp scampi before Keiko. Skye took a bite and savored it. It had been so long since her last steak! She sighed happily, enjoying the comfort of her friends...

To be continued...!

The area we were in, The Marowaks Savanna, was exactly what it said. It had knee high yellowish grass, with a few trees, with a huge watering hole. It is one of 50 places in the vast desert to get pure water. it was the biggest savanna in all Koiora, it was the biggest Marowak breeding ground, and was also home to every species of ground pokemon known to mankind. Also grazing and basking in the shade were a few fire pokemon and ponyta, maybe a rapidash here or there. It also homed many pokemon that weren't ground or fire.

"This looks like a good spot for the night." Scott said smiling as he walked over to the watering hole, more of a lake.

"Okay." I said smiling too, for there was alot of pokemon here I hadn't studied yet. I climbed up a tree and got out my scetchbook and quietly drew the animals around me. Then I took out my notebooks and took notes on all the different pokemon.

I was in a large open desert area, watching and taking photographs of a Cacturne, when suddenly, I felt a human presence behind me. the cacturne fled, which was all the hint I needed. but before I could bolt, a large man clamped his hand arond my mouth, and used his other arm to keep me mostly immoble. I couldn't reach my pokeballs, and there was no way for me to call for help..

After yet another day of sucessful Breeding, Melinda closed up shop and went home. As soon as she entered her Apartment, all of her Pokemon released themselves from thier Pokeballs. Melinda smiled.

"What's for dinner?" she asked laughing.

She was blown backwards with the force of the replies. Macaroni and Cheese it was. Melinda whipped some up and dished it out to her hungry friends.

After dinner, all of her Pokemon but Vulpix had fallen asleep. Vulpix was quite the little insulmniac lately, and no amount of massage would cure it.

"You are just a little night bug, aren't you, Aria?" Melinda crooned. She then began to sing to her Vulpix in a soothing soprano voice. She wasn't sure what she was singing... but it was the same lullaby she'd been sung as a baby. Melinda treated her Pokemon as if they were human. This was how she bacam such a sucessful breeder. She rocked the little redish-brown Pokemon untill it yawned and fell asleep in her arms.

Melinda smiled, and fell asleep right in her cedar rocking chair, still singing her lullaby.

I was struggeling pretty hard, but it was no use. this guy was much stronger then me.. just when I had mentally signed myself for a life of tourture, the cacturne came back, and seeing I was in trouble, hit the guy with Needle Arm. he let go of me and took off. I had been injured a good deal, but nothing like what would have happened if he had managed to kidnapp me...

The friends ate quietly for a while, Skye enjoying her steak quite a bit. It had been so long since she had had a steak, and it was tradition for her to order one every time she stopped into Janet's cafe.

"Oh, that was fantastic!" Skye exclaimed, patting her stomach, leaning back from her now empty plate. "You cook the best steaks, Janet, seriously!"

"Well, thank you," Janet said appreciatvely, and cleared their plates from the table. When she returned, she had three ice cream cones, two of which she passed to Keiko and Skye. "What are you up to for the rest of the afternoon?"

"I've got some film developing at Keiko's shop," Skye explained. "And I think Fury and I will head back tonight. I have a lot of work to do around the house tomorrow."

"I see. I wish I could join you. I'd love to see the pictures, but I'm afraid it's finally picking up around here," Janet said with a grin as a few people entered the cafe. "Have a good time, and keep in touch, will you?"

"Sure thing," Skye assured Janet, giving her a hug goodbye. "Take care."

"You too!" Janet told her. "I'll see you tomorrow, Keiko?"

"I wouldn't miss it!" Keiko exclaimed happily. "See you then!"

Keiko and Skye waved farewell as they exited the cafe and headed back to the shop. Keiko went into the dark room, and emerged a few moments later, carrying a package of pictures. She handed them to Skye over the counter.

"They looked like they came out well," she told her, grinning. "Open them up, and let's see!"

Skye grinned, and opened the envelope slowly. She withdrew about twenty pictures, and lay them out over the counter, one by one.

"Oh," Keiko said, gesturing to a lovely photo of some Bulbasaur spreading spores from the bulbs on their back. "That's really lovely! Where did you shoot that one?"

"I think that was when Fury and I flew to the forest region on a special trip," Skye told her. "But I'm really partial to this one, I'm afraid."

She pointed to a picture of Fury. He had just landed, his wings still spread widly from flight, and his neck stretched towards the sky. His feet lay semi-folded beneath him, and behind him, the sun was setting.

"I took that as he was coming back from fishing," she told Keiko, smiling fondly at her Fearow. "I think I want to enter that one in the contest."

"Oh I agree!" Keiko grinned. She turned the picture around to look at it better. "It's quite nice. He looks so wild in the picture! Look at how ruffled his back feathers are! And his wings...they're so powerful looking! That really is a great shot, Skye."

"Thank you very much," Skye said, blushing at the compliment. "Have you got an envelope I could steal to send it to the contest in? I figured I would do it while I'm here. Postage will cost less."

"Well, don't you worry about it!" Keiko told her, grabbing an envelope from a shelf beneath her desk. She wrote the address for the contest on the front,a dn Skye's return address in the upper left corner. Putting a stamp on the right corner, she handed the envelope to Skye. "Consider it done already! Just drop it in a post box, and you'll be all set!"

"Oh...Keiko!" Skye smiled. "You don't have to!"

"Well, I did!" Keiko told her, grinning. "Now get going before it gets too dark. I'll keep in touch with you about coming down to visit. Take care, dear. Don't forget to write me if you need anything."

"I won't," Skye assured her, and hugged her over the counter. She gathered her pictures, and pocketed them. She left some money on the counter for the photos, which she insisted Keiko take. "Thank you so much. I'll see you soon."

Keiko waved as Skye left. Fury was outside waiting for her. Happily, Skye deposited her picture in the post box, and climbed aboard Fury's back. They were off once again, only this time, homeward bound.

?Elie! Wake up!? Flora yelled in Elie?s ears. Elie faced back and covered her ears with a pillow. ?Go away!? Elie said in muffled tone.

?You promised you?ll help me with my gardening.? Flora said pulling her baby sister?s pillow out of her face.

?Fine, Fine!? Elie said, finally giving up. She slowly rose from the bed and walked inside their small bathroom. She showered quickly and when she finished, she wrapped a feathery towel around her and grabbed her clothes and quickly wore them. She reached the brush in front of her, and brushed her hair as she looked at herself in the mirror. She tied her hair in a neat ponytail and smiled at herself, showing a satisfied look.

Elie walked to their dining room and happily ate breakfast with her family. Feeling rather full, she stood up and washed her plate.

?Are you done yet?? Flora asked impatiently. Elie nodded and followed Flora outside. ?Why do you want my help anyway?? Elie asked, stretching her arms. Flora shrugged and started her gardening. Before starting, Elie called Blue, who flew towards her just a minute after she was called.

?Hey, Blue!? she greeted cheerfully. Blue chirped happily as Elie stroked her. ?I?ll just help Flora, and then we can visit ?Lexis.? She explained. Blue nodded and played with Flora?s Gloom.

?Finally!? Elie exclaimed as wiped the sweat on her forehead with a soft towel. She walked in her house and prepared some fresh clothes to wear. After she had picked her clothes, she went in the bathroom and watched her face. She was now wearing the clothes she had just got; an orange tank top and black shorts. She also wore orange shades on top of her head. When she came out of the bathroom, he mother called her.

?Honey, would you give this to Alexis? mom?? Meryl, her mother, asked. Elie nodded politely then walked outside with Blue on her arms. ?Okay, c?mon, Blue!?

Melinda awoke with Aria in her arms. She giggled and the Vulpix stretched and yawned. Melinda called all her Pokemon to her and returned them to thier Pokeballs. Today was her day off, and she was taking the four of them to the park!

Upon arriving at the park, she released Blaze (Rapidash), Lavender (Espeon), Aria (Vulpix), and Jolt (Jolteon). They all raced off to play. All, that is, except Blaze. Melinda jumped on it's back and the raced off to the coral that was located in the center of the park. Ironspire City's park was HUGE after all. Melinda and Blaze ahd been working on jumping. Melinda wasn't worried about the others, they'd come back.

As Melinda soared over another jump, she saw a huge Fearow fly overhead. The sight was awesome, and she made a mental note of it to sketch when she was through here.

Skye returned home to a lonely, empty house. Her porch light was on, though, so that at least was a comfort. Fury landed gracefully at her door, and Skye hopped off his back.

"Thanks, Fury," she said appreciatively, and kissed him on the cheek. "What a great trip, eh?"

Fury cooed in agreement, and walked into the house. Skye had installed an extra wide door to her home so that Fury could fit through. After closing it, she turned on her kerosene lantern, and put the trips spoils away. Fury padded off to the room he and Skye shared, and promptly fell asleep.

Skye wanted to head to bed soon, since the sun had already left the sky, and the moon was fresh and bright, but somehow, she couldn't bring herself to do so. She felt an overwhelming sense of lonliness, despite Fury's company. She really did miss having her friends and family around once in a while.

Fury squaked at her from her bedroom, and Skye got up from the kitchen table to make some tea.

"I'll be right there. Just go to sleep. I know you're tired," she assured him, and boiled some water.

While she waited for the tea kettle to whistle, she shut the straw shades to her house, and locked the door. Sunset Village was such a sleepy little place. Nothing exciting ever happened here. After finishing her tea, Skye brushed her teeth, and changed into some pajamas. She curled up on her futon on the floor and fell fast asleep with Fury beside her.

On their way to Farslope Town, Elie couldn?t help but draw a sketch of the sky, and of course, the flying Pokemons in it. She was already done when Blue had landed. She quickly thanked her and was answered by cutely saying its name. Elie chuckled then prepared herself to run. Usually, after flying to Farslope, she would run two miles to get to Alexis? house, her Blue flying beside her at all times. This day was no different; she considered this as her daily exercise, because there was never a day when she hadn?t visited his house.

At last, after minutes of running, she had arrived. His house was really big, but too formal looking, but his parents were very proper, so she can?t do anything about it. She walked towards their front door and rang the doorbell, you could hear a pleasant sound coming from it, not like those she usually hear which were very annoying. Every time she rings the doorbell, she was always greeted by a butler, who will lead her to Alexis? room. When they arrive, the butler opens the door and walks back down to prepare a meal for them. Finally, she had done her ?routine? she sighed in relief then sat next to Alexis.

?Hey, Elie!? he greeted happily.

?Hey, ?Lexis.? She replied, having the same tone as her best friend.

For a few minutes, they were just sitting still; Elie assumed that Alexis was trying to remember something.

?Do you want to sleep here today? My mother said you can.? Alexis said unexpectedly, making Elie jump.

Finally regaining her composure she grinned. ?I?d love too! We?ll have more time for training.? She exclaimed. She stood up and walked towards a wooden table near the patio and picked up the phone. ?I?ll just tell my mom, okay?? she asked. After seeing him nod, she dialed her phone number and waited for her mom to answer.

?Hello?? It was her mom?s voice.

?Kaa-san!? she loved calling her that. ?I?ll sleep in ?Lexis? house, okay??

?Okay, dear. I?ll pick you up tomorrow at eight o?clock.? Her mother said kindly.

?Hai! Thanks.? She thanked. ?See you tomorrow.?

?See you tomorrow, honey.? her mother bid her goodbye and put down the phone; Elie did the same.

Time seemed to pass by quickly, because before she knew it, it was already dinner, about eight-thirty. They had been training for hours! She walked with Alexis, Blue resting on her Pokeball, to their large dining room and sat on the chair in front of him. She gasped silently, there were so many foods prepared for them, and it almost filled the huge table. After admiring what was before her, she picked the food she was going to eat and ate them happily. When she was done, she offered to wash the dishes, but was answered by a giggle.

?Dear, you don?t have to. Just leave it there, I?ll ask our maid to do it. Elie bowed gratefully and walked upstairs. She was greeted by one of their maids, and handed her a nightgown.

She was curtsied at the maid and took the gown carefully. The maid smiled and walked down and mumbles, ?What a polite young lady.?

She walked in the guest room and called out Blue. ?How are you?? she asked.

She cooed tiredly. Elie smiled and caressed her head. ?After I take a bath, I?ll feed you, okay??

The tired Altaria nodded and waited patiently for her friend to finish.

She came out the bathroom, about twenty-five minutes later, wearing the beautiful nightgown that was lent to her. She opened the backpack she brought and grabbed the container which was holding Blue?s favorite food. She also took out a small bowl, and placed the food in it.

?There you go.? She said cheerfully. ?I?ll just say goodnight to ?Lexis, then we?ll sleep.? She explained as she walked out of the door. Blue nodded in agreement and continued eating her food.

It was a very short walk, considering that their rooms were just opposite to each other. She knocked on his door and waited for him to open it. He was wearing his pajamas and his hair was a mess.

?I forgot to give this earlier to you mom,? she said handing him a small box. ?I might forget tomorrow so it?s best if you give it.? She chuckled.

?Thanks.? He said, examining the box. ?Oh, and G?night.?

?G?night.? She said as walked back to her room. She jumped on the soft bed and motioned Blue to follow. Blue followed and lay beside her.

?Night, Blue.? She said before finally falling asleep.

"Well Zarick how did you sleep? The stars provide any new helpful insite on where that dark force was emitting from last night?" she spoke, now clearly awake, mostly because of her mission- to find this sorce of energy and, well, she wasn't too sure of how to proceed till they arrived in Kauwheke... "Not completly sure, they were giving mixed signals, hm, but i think the proper way to proceed is to follow the route they have provided. That is all i can say on the matter." he spoke with presiceness and was sure to explain it in a way that the tired-eyed Azu would understand. "Mm..." she drifted. " Azu you ok?" Zarick had to constatly peel at her to keep her awake for the new schedual, it was travel by night sleep by day, best way to keep hidden. And Azume' wasn't liking it much. "M, huh? oh, sorry, just a little sleepy, well no use sitting here, have the boys and Tia awoken yet?" she asked, trying to keep her mind set on consciousness. " Yes they have awoken and they are waiting for us at the brink of town, ah they have set up a perrimiter, clever, without your lead I didn't beleive they could manage, ha." he grined. "Then my dear Zarick let us make out leave!" she spoke and they left for the un-known, the darkness that awaits was imminent, but far off, hopefully, they would succeed in their quest and find the mysterious sorce of darkness, and perhaps put an end to the AKM as well.
