So recently my desktop has gotten a virus...the thing says it's a Trojan.Vundo, and so far when it has said that it is going to get rid of it, it hasn't.
I'm wondering if there's a good free program that will get rid of this?
I already have AVG, and it won't even find the virus...so...

Any help is greatly appreciated. ^-^

If you have a windows PC I think you can go to microsoft.com and downloas the Windows Protector.

If AVG isn't detecting it, what is the program that *is* detecting it?

Norton. But then it says "restart your computer," so I do.
And then it says "Norton has detected Trojan.Vundo as a security threat, your computer is secure."

    v.v
    And it's not gone.

Keep in mind that it's not good to have two antivirus programs installed at the same time, they'll interfere with each other. If you have Norton Antivirus and you're keeping it up to date, you don't need AVG. That may actually help.

Hmm. Does it tell you where the problem is (what file it's in)? Try restarting your computer in safe mode (hit F8 repeatedly when you're starting up until the menu comes up and you can choose it) and then running a full antivirus scan.
