Vitamins and raising stats

    I've noticed that sometimes when you give a pokemon a vitamin like HP UP it won't raise its HP even though it ate it... how come???
     
    Because vitamins don't work the same way as they used to. Vitamins now simply add EVs to your stats. Some of those EVs will go onto the stats right away, but for some you'll have to gain a few levels for the EVs to go on.

    For RSEFRLG anyway.

    How many EV points does a pokemon gain from 1 vitamin?

    and even back then in red... a vitamin didn't give you 1 stat point always....
     
    4 evs equals 1 stat so think! i'm pretty sure its not 1, so its neither 2 or 3 by the way don't heal or put the pkmn that needs drugs in ur box, cause it will take away o its evs
     
    So healling at the pkmn center or boxing it will reset the EV count?
    (eg. so say like before I level up, I've earned 3 speed EV points from battling zigzagoons, if I heal before leveling up at the pkmn centre or if I box the torchic, those 3 speed EV points will go to waste?)

    And also say like I leveled up but during that time when I was training to level up, I only earned 3 speed EV points and 1 attack EV point, will those points carry into the next level so that when I do gain a total of 4 speed EV points or more, I'll get the stat bonus for that level?

    ****.... raising pokemon is a lot more annoying now.. -_-

    Depends on their level... vitamins don't raise STATS by points, but by percentage. On lower status values it will appear as if though nothing happens. But in the long run, as the pkmn levels up it will eventually end up having a higher status than it would have had if you hadn't given it those vitamins. ^^
