Second is getting my vote.
The first really is lacking in fundamentals. It's like it has no idea where it's going and would probably be better without the stock used. But given that the battle was a set stock one it probably wouldn't make sense. Anyway, colour choices to begin with. There's a lack of palette. Pinks, greens, blacks, whites, magenta, random case of blue, red on the lips, clear lack of concentration when considering a group of colours. So this ends up being a bit all over the place on terms of colour composition and they forget to compliment each other.
As for flow and composition, it's also lacking on that front. To many directions when it comes to flow, nice light textures but not really used well enough to work with this tag. I could split this one down the middle and assume there's two different tags, the left has little relevance to the right. Although I like the left in all honesty, it just doesn't really work with the rest of the tag, on top of the other things I mentioned.
The second tag has a lot more conceptual brilliance to it. Look at the stock, what does the face remind you of? What kind of expression is shown? A "look to the stars" feel, a sort of mystic and aspiring feel. So I think that this tag really takes this expression and applies it to a "space" theme. It feels futuristic and sharp. The style is really kept on point. However, I'm not a huge fan of the colour choices, I feel they could have been more appealing. The brightness is a bit over hauling in some points, and it takes over. But it's not enough to turn me off the tag. It's a much more artistic and conceptual response to the stock allocated.
Good battle guys.
