    Round 1 of the graphics tournament happening. This battle is between Zebra Thunderhead and Rest!
    This battle had the following restrictions.

    Stock: No restrictions.
    Size: No restrictions.
    Colour: Background must be a solid colour.
    Text: Must use (at least) two different fonts.

    I vote for Tag 2. Both are very well done and I had a really hard time choosing so I had to go with the font as a tie-breaker, and I think the text on Tag 2 looked more professionally done and blended to the background really well.
     
    Both are excellent, but I'm voting for Tag 2. Mostly it's just personal preference (I'm not a colossal fan of the 1-pixel leading or the blur on Tag 1), but I love the cleanness of the second tag and the softness of the colours.
     
    Voting for Tag 2. As a whole, I felt this one was a lot stronger. Perhaps the hardest part of this particular battle, was the fact that they had to use more than 1 font, and tag 2 pulled off 3 fonts so effortlessly it is crazy.
    On top of that, the piece was made from scratch using the pen tool. While not necessarily relevant in picking a winner for everybody, it is something that I definitely appreciate and admire. Not only is it extra effort which I feel should be regarded, but it also leads to outstanding quality and crisp, smooth lines and details, something which let the first tag down, mainly just through the stock choice.

    This was admittedly, probably the hardest set of restrictions of the Round 1 battles, however, you both pulled of great tags!
     
    tag 2 gmv, overall stronger, pulled off the fonts great. scratch pieces are always awesome and this one is no exception, it looks amazing maaan
     
    This was a tough one, tag 1 seems too bright and the yellow drains away a lot of the rest of the tag (yellow and red are the most appealing colours to the eyes, but there is more yellow in this case [LOLSCIENCE]). The text also seems too pink for my liking and doesn't have that balance with anything else in the tag making it seem too out of place.

    With tag 2, I would have preferred if more of the wrist was visible because it seems to cut off too quickly, but that might have just been the stock. However the soft yellow and very light lines and font in the background contrast the colours on the face and really work well, which is why tag 2 gets my vote.
