    I'm right now switching to a new host that allows me to resell. I'm thinking of reselling to pay for PFU's hosting costs. If I was to, how much space and bandwidth would you guys want and how much are you willing to pay for it?
     
    At least tell us what the other "perks" would be? Just space and bandwidth can't let us shape our ideal costs alone. ^_^;

    (ie: MySQL? PHP? etc. ;p)
     
    There should be:

    CPanel
    PHP
    MySQL
    Perl
    PHPMyAdmin
    And alot of other neat features that come with CPanel

    I'm still working out the details and whether or not I'll be subhosting.

    Edit: To specify some features:

    Webmail, forwarders, pop, auto-responders, email filtering, subdomains, domain parking (must already be registered), addon domains (must already be registered), ftp, file manager, web protect, cron jobs, mime types, apache handlers, hotlink protection, etc.

    Don't go for it, there are tons of better hosts. Shining Arcanine is just going to overcharge so that he can make so profit, while you get ripped off. Do you want a good host or do you want to line SA's pockets? Everything he lists is standard with all other hosts, plus you'd probably pay a lot less for a lot more, plus you wouldn't have to rely on SA, so I think the choice is obviously not to help him out. Plus you'd be helping Pokemon Fan Universe. I mean come on, do I even have to explain why that is so wrong?

    Haven't even said I will be subhosting yet and I'm already being bashed. -_-

    Edit: Anyway, guys, if you are interested in supporting Pokemon Fan Universe, just tell me how much space and bandwidth you need and how much you are willing to pay for it a month. If I decide to subhost, I'll take that into consideration for the hosting plans.

    i have a suggestion...it better be less than $50/yr, and if you do decide to do subhosting, that better be free. =)
     
    Edit: Scratch what I said previously in this spot, I misunderstood your post. If I decide to resell, being hosted by me would be considered subhosting as I'm already on a shared server. Not to mention the price will depend on how much people are willing to pay and how much I determine that I can give out to each person.

    Btw, if people want to subsubhost, as long as they don't use up too much of the CPU (meaning no solving the human genome project via a php script), I don't care if they make 50 FTP accounts and start handing them out to friends so each one can have https://www.domain.com/folder/ or https://subdomain.domain.com/

    i host domains for free...but it will be discontinued in late may.

    o_O; how come everyone is hosting domains now! it sounds like it is cheap to do so. mmm, if i ever get another domain i'll ask you for hosting. it sounds cool.
     
    Just for the purpose of figuring out how much bandwidth/space I'll give per a dollar, how much space and bandwidth would you need and how much would you be willing to pay for it?
     
    You can get 300+MB for like $4/month now adays, you gonna be able to do it that cheap? If so i might be interested to move mkiii.net
