Backstory
Spinning with apparent ease, he twirled himself around elegantly, his blue robes billowing outwards with the wind. His long brown hair was tied up in a ponytail, which also, flung itself around as he spun. By his side, he held a katana tightly, keeping it close to his body, as he twisted on the balls of his feet. All of a sudden, he stopped, his feet spread wide apart, and lashed out with the katana. The blow, however, was deflected by the opponent.
A beastly looking creature, standing on two legs. In fact, its features were uncannily humanoid, without taking in the fact that his face looked like a wild cat, and that he had a tail protruding from his hip-joint. The fur on his face was a creamy-gold in colour, and silky to the touch. His fangs were old, and yellowed. His hands, ended off in sharp, and dangerous claws. His feline face, contorted with glee.
He had no weapon at all, but his claws were more than enough. He darted forward, with inhuman speed, and raked the human across the face with his claws. Blood spurted out of five long gashes across the human's cheek, but this was far from enough to slow down the human. He had been trained in the art of Demon-slaying, and was not going to lose to his first Demon. While the Demon seemed happy about wounding the human, the human flung his arm out, and plunged his katana into the Demon's right arm.
A loud wail of anguish filled the air, sending shivers up the human's spine. He shivered, retrieving the blade from within the Demon. The second that this had been done, the blade began to sizzle loudly, as black blood covered it. All of a sudden, the handle glowed bright red, and the heat was too much for the human, and he dropped it to the floor, where it melted. The Demon turned his yellow eyes upon the unarmed human, before pouncing…
Plot
Millennia ago, before the modern age, lived an age of terror and despair. It was a time, when a certain race, now thought to be vanquished from the face of the earth, still ran free. They were the Demons. A race of nasty, half-humanoid, half-animalistic people, who lived with barbaric rituals of sacrifice and killing. However, having the brainpower of a human, and the brawn of an animal, they were a highly feared, and respected race of people, who were never argued against. The only thing that humans had to defeat the Demons, was the ability to work together, under the rule of one person alone, and use teamwork to bring enemies down. The Demons didn't have the concept of teamwork in their practices, and were stunned by the efficiency of the humans in any task they took on.
The humans didn't know that the Demons were in awe of them for a very long time. For almost a century, these two powerful races stayed hidden, suppressed by the opposing pressure, awe and fear. But one fateful evening, the understanding was made. A human child was lost deep in a thick wood, having followed his father out hunting, and having gotten lost. He stumbled upon a group of Demons. Fortunately, he managed to muffle his fall of a clump of moss, and quickly rolling out of sight, he listened carefully. He heard the Demons talk about the humans as being extremely intelligent, and strong creatures, and wondering what to do about it.
The child, however, didn't find the need to wonder. Scrambling from his hiding place, he raced around the forest for a while, finally bumping into his father, and their hunting party. His father had been most upset and worried about losing his child, so when he returned, the father was overjoyed. But soon, his happiness turned into complete and utter elation, as his son repeated all that he had heard to his father. Without further ado, they literally flew back to their village, and alerted the chief.
The chief called together the other chiefs in his area, and those chiefs called the other chiefs in their areas, until almost all of the humans in the Kantonean region were meeting at one place. They had finally found a weakness in the Demons power, and that was the ability to work as a team. Together, the great Chiefs selected seven Elders. These Elders were the people who commanded the rest of the Kantonean people, an if a chief wanted to make a decision, they would have to ask the Elders for permission. Together, the Elders brought out a plan, to destroy any trace of the Demon race. There plan was to infiltrate each and every village, one by one, until they had defeated all the Demons, ridding the Kantonean continent of any Demons.
This plan, somehow, across trade routes, travelled to the Johtoen and the Hoennian places, and they, too decided to rid their lands of the Demons. However, neither of them was as powerful as Kanto, and they needed their help. The Kantonean Elders agreed, under one condition: that the Kantonean Elders would be able to rule of Hoenn and Johto. Agreeing to this, they formed the pact, known as the DOTD pact. The pact stood for the Destruction of the Demons pact. It lasted, until the very last Demon was rid.
This much, we know as a fact, but legend continues to say more. It said, that the last two Demons, and wife and her husband, did not want their race to die out. It is spoken of, that these two reproduced when they heard that the humans were coming, as Demons give birth immediately after the male plants his seed. It is said that they gave birth of five Demonic children, and hid them away, and waiting in anxiety for the arrival of the human. However, this is all legend, and no one knows if it is true.
Millennia after these series of incidents, another odd thing happened. There was a sighting of what was thought to be a Minator, a bull like creature, one two legs, with hands and feet like humans, but covered in fur, and a bulls face. Most people either thought this to be a hoax, or it to be true, and got worried. However, only a fingerful of these people had read of the legend, and immediately were worried.
Their worries, however, were suppressed, as the next sightings were generations after they had passed on. But this time, one of these odd humanoid creatures killed a human being, but left the Pokémon alone. Researchers immediately got to work, and found out that Pokémon were actually descendants of Demons, which meant that the legend was true, and that the Demon babies had flourished. However, these other creatures, seemed to have grown up, completely left alone, and thus, they resembled their ancestors much more.
Another long time after this discovery, the worst happened. A mass killing had been undertaken in public view of a shopping mall, by a rhinoceros-Demon. He trampled all that were in his way, and gouged the others with his long horn. People began to fear these creatures, and were soon forced to go into hiding. Before long, there was hardly ever a sighting of a human being above ground, and if there was, it was a the dead corpse of one, that had been fed upon.
But humans being who they were, would not tolerate such cowardice, and began to form together highly trained Pokémon trainers. At first, it was anyone who had managed to get all the eight badges of any region, but they soon wanted more, and people were trained from infancy, to kill these Demons. In all of the continents, people were preparing for a war, unlike any other before. But before the full-scale war took place, the humans sent out a dispatch crew from each continent to see what the Demons were doing. Meanwhile, underground, a group of scientists were preparing more powerful ways to dealing with the Demons. Hidden, deeper than the rest, were a group of people, who seeked to make peace with the Demons.
The smell of war lingered…
Information
– The Demons in this Role Play are horrifically strong, and it usually takes three trainers, with a team full of six powerful Pokémon to kill even one of them. Although they posses no magical abilities, they are able to do the very same things that the animal they resemble can do, apart from transforming into that animal as well.
– People who are trained from infancy to kill Demons are called Slayers, and their job is to kill. They do not attend normal schooling, but special training arenas, where they are brainwashed into thinking that Demons are evil creatures, and wish to do nothing more than rid the human race from the earth. Ironically, that was what Demons were telling their young millennia ago about humans. No one knows which one is true.
– The Scientists who are inventing ways to destroy Demons without having to put humans in danger are known as the Technical Slayers. They, too, have been brainwashed, into believing that Demons are evil. Their project, however, has been outlined, but will take a long time to complete. Meanwhile, they are looking towards another way to kill the Demons.
– Those, who want to befriend the Demons, are called the Outcasts, by normal people, but call themselves the peacekeepers. They already claim to have stopped a Demon attack on one of the many underground bases. They are the few, who's parents have tried all they can to tell them the legend, which was passed down from mouth to mouth, being no record of it.

Name: Razan Shyndow
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Origin: Azalea Town, Johto
Current Residency: Razan is a wanderer, but he has a house in the underground residency, underneath the Viridian City ruins.
Class: Normal Person. Razan has a very odd job. His job, is to go around, doing odd jobs for other people. But not the type of jobs, like shopping. No, these type of jobs, are more like things that people would not want to be caught doing. Killing, stealing, and kidnapping. Although, Razan despises his job, it is the only thing he is good at.
Pokémon Team: Bayleef, Taillow, Magby
Personality: Razan has a very odd character dwelling within him. He is hardly ever focussed on what he does. His mind, is always, half thinking about something else, while the other half is either listening to the person who is talking to him at present, or dwelling upon yet another topic. Because of this, he spends most of his time, alone, contemplating recent events. To Razan, words like honour and bravery have no meaning. He does what he believes to be correct, and not what someone else believes to be correct. This aspect of him, makes him a very realistic person to talk to. To him, there is no such thing as the supernatural. Everything is real, and he will not believe in something that cannot provide proof of its existence. However, Razan is the last person to disregard friendship. No matter how much it seems that he dos not like having friends, that is just the outside. He believes, that to truly know oneself, one must have had friends. Even though, people have to end up relying on their friends, something Razan hates, he overlooks that, knowing that friendship is the only thing that can succeed where other forces cannot.
Appearance: Razan has a thing for black. Anything that he wears, must be accompanied with black. If his tee-shirt is not black, then his pants must be black, and vice-versa. His entire closet looks gothic. Even his body seems to like the colour black. Even though his skin is pale, his hair is of the darkest black strands that his parents' chromosomes could muster. It is silky to the touch, and falls elegantly down, on his shoulders. His eyes, are also a black colour. When he looks in a mirror, he believes, that he sees an endless pit of emotion reflected in his eyes, something that other coloured eyes lack completely. His build, is lean, and cat-like. Sinewy muscles ripple across his back, but he doesn't show them off. Despite his powerful body, he is not buff, and looks more like an athlete than a muscle-man. When he travels, he has a trench coat, four times his size, as the sleeves hang loosely, and the bottom drags across the floor, accompanied by a hood.
History: Razan's parents are remembered by a picture. He has no memories of his parents, because his father passed away a long time ago, during a battle against a Lion-Demon, and his mother, who could not bear to see the death of her husband, left Razan with her mother, and then committed suicide. She had stepped up, in the path f a Hippo-Demon. Razan grew up with his grandmother, who also past away, when Razan was only ten. He spent the next five years with his cousin, who happily let him stay in her flat. As soon as he became fifteen, he was allowed to buy a house, and he bought one underneath Viridian. Ever since, he had been doing these jobs, and shudders to think what his cousin would say if she knew the profession he now had taken up.
