I think it is worth buying, mostly cause I didn't like G/S/C, R/S/E was okay but I really liked the first generation Pokemon. And since in FR/LG you can collect all of the Pokemon, I can use some of the newer ones that I actually liked as well as the old ones that I really liked from R/B/Y.

It is MOST DEFINATELY worth it. I got this game about two weeks ago, and I must say, it is absolutely fantastic. Yes, it is a remake, however, the improvements made on this game are phenomenal, not to mention the fact that this game will allow you to acquire 386 types of Pokemon by trading with Ruby, Colloseum, etc. Ever since the release of Ruby/Sapphire, I have wanted to see a Charizard on GBA. It's... beautiful. Furthermore, if you miss the special events to get Deoxys, etc. There's always Action Replay and Gameshark...

ps. oh yeah its worth buying
its a pokemon game for the GB, nuff said
and a free wireless adapter, i mean wow

i think im jsut gonna get emerald... it has way more add-ons than fr/lg, has contests 9read all the add on-ons in serebii, altho its all for emerald, hardly any for fr/lg). i just dont like the fact u have to have r/s/fr/lg/colleseum (5 games!) just to have all the ones u want... its a waste of money. so i jsut bough 1 from each gen, saph, colleseum, and instead of fr/lg, im gonna buy emerald. although i owuld like to hear about when valmorian said e was okay, but liked fr/lg better even tho emerlad has more features...

A pokemon game is always worth buying. OYu should get FR LG. to Kirby00, ou know they're going to always make a new game for the next year. so to wait a year jsut to get a game that has more, franlky lacks a great deal of logic. Why wait a whole year to get a game with more when in another year they'll make another game with more? It's best to get them all, or jsut don't bother. :\

i think they will stop after emerald, or possibly a thunder yellow. although there are rumors that there wil lbe the 4th gen games (including gonbe). i dunno poke has died down, and maybe i wont get another game 4 a while. if u think about it they r all remakes neways...

i was also wondering if these games were worth it, but i guess i will get one

Considering Red/Green/Blue were the best RPGs ever since Chrono Trigger.. Yeah, a remake is deffinatly worth your 25.99(@Target 1st week, over now).

wuts the point tho. almsot evrything is the same xcept the islands, and the fact that u get more poke. it jsut seems like u may as well play r/b/y

While that may be true.. some of us have been spoiled by the new graphics of Ru/Sa.. so going back to the graphics of R/B/Y isn't as fun as when it had just come out.. but with the new remake (FR/LG) we get to have the nostalgia of play R/B/Y with newer graphics and the new little features than have spoiled us as well. With me it is the Running Shoes.. use those more than the bike.

I've ordered FireRed from Amazon and I'm just waiting for it to arrive. It will be worth it for me, but might not be it from everybody. Depends on whether you like experiencing Deja Vu or not. I do, and seeing as Yellow is my all-time favorite video game (never got Red or Blue), I can't wait.

was it worth buying my pokemon fire red????
hmm let me answer you this way:
ive had pokemon fire red for 16 hours, i have clocked up 16 hours on it
no food, no sleep, just poke poke POKEMON!!!

Uh, Gonbe is official. There IS going to be a fourth generation.

I bought Japanese LG this July, it is interesting and cute~

But some how I think that the game is very difficult! <---too stupid?

i would say no right now, cause it hasen't consumed most of my time yet,so i'd say no for now.

I've only got 2 badges so far, but it's alright. The fact that it's got the horrible EV-capping system introduced in R/S is enough to deem it a lower-grade Red/Blue itself, but other than that - the graphical updates are nice.

However...

...the music is absolutely terrible. Some classic tunes have been well and truly ruined.

Pokemon is far from dead. Its not going to stop after Emerald. With the 4th generation coming(Gnobe) we can at least expect three more games.

Its all about bridging the gap so you make better connections. Which is why I think they put Jhoto pokemon in FR/LG. The 4th generation will probably be on DS and the next colleseum will be on a whole new system. (cuz they said it cant connect with GCN. and we know how nintendo makes a big deal out of connection.)

(Pokemon red blue, then yellow. Poke ruby sapphire, then emerald. Pokemon gold silver, crystal. Pokemon LG/FR then EY[I thik we can expect this game although it hasn't been confirmed.].)

Pokemon Colosseum shifted loads of Gamecubes by itself. I think a franchise that's capable of a feat like that is far from dead.

I just hope the DS game(s) include monsters from every single game, instead of spreading them over what, 5 titles? It's totally stupid.
