1. I don't know... But if I had a plan that relied on someone else getting something for me in exchange for the life of someone they were fond of, I'd make sure I had a way to threaten against them giving me a fake. If he made her swallow something, it's probably something that could hurt her if he wants it to. Something he can control... {Hmm... What's both dangerous and controllable? Particularly, something that can be controlled from afar...} -eyes widen- {Oh no... It can't be...} He wouldn't be THAT cruel, would he? But it does make the most sense...
