Water Pokemon?

I was cuirous, do water pokemon ever get thisrty? And if they do can't they just shoot a watergun attack or something and drink it?

It depends on whether they live in a freshwater or saltwater climate. Freshwater marine life does not need to take in water as it is absorbed into their skin, while saltwater lose water through their skin via the salt, so they need to consume water in a manner similar to other creatures.

That's the biological answer, I'll leave the creative one to everyone else.

I think part of the Water Gun is their way to get rid of excessive fluids as even it as the organs have their limits so I go with Chairman here. I kinda see it as spitting on a personal level, just icky.

And no, I don't want to think of the alternative. Not for anything. :P

Well, for the Water Gun-thingie, if there is to be any kind of balance in nature then that water can't simply appear out of nowhere, (As that, considering the sheer amount of water pok?mon in existence, would surely lead to the whole world getting flooded in the long run, good for Team Aqua I suppose. XD) Which leads me to agree with Dark Weezing here and say that it's basically just releasing excess fluids onto your opponent (Or in laymen's terms, spitting), although considering the frequency with which they do so water pok?mon would probably have to store up a lot more liquid than they actually need to survive, just in case they need it for ammunition.
