The question is what weakness do you think that makes no sense?
I'm thinking that why is Bug strong against Psychic types.

    :t094:~*!*~Queen Boo~*!*~

How is Ghost weak against Ghost

also, how is water resistance to ice. Doesnt ice freeze water?

I dont understand how water is resistant to ice either.

Why does grass have a resistance to electricity?
Why does psychic have weakness to ghost?
Why does flying have strength against fighting?

On the "ice freezing water" comment, not necessarily. Think about putting an ice cube in a glass of water.

That said, if anyone knew what ice can do to rock (specifically, expand in cracks between rocks until the rocks crumble), you'd know why I'd say Ice's weakness against Rock-type moves doesn't make much sense.

Also, no logic I can think of can come up with an explanation for how Bug-types do twice as much damage to Dark-type Pokemon. Anyone care to explain this for me?

Thirdly... How is Ground strong against Poison?

And what about Ghost's resistance to Poison-type moves? I mean, they're already dead, so how does poison affect them at all?

And Bug's resistance to Ground-type moves? Seriously, if a bug was tossed around by an earthquake, what are the chances of it surviving?

Psychic and ghost i guess its cause they use their psychic powers to move sold objects around, but since they're ghosts their powers dont effect them...

Dark and Psychic... doesn't make sense but saved me from quite a few Alakazams!

I guess its all put in to make the game more challenging, but still. Dragon effective against dragon is strange..

I've always wondered why Psychic is good against Poison, or why Fighting is good against Dark. And yeah, why Bug is good against Psychic has always puzzled me too.

I've always been thinking why Electric is'nt good against Grass types, because in real life Electricity would just cut through grass.

There's actually a quite logical explanation for that. We all know how annoying bugs can be, right? And it's pretty obvious that affecting material objects by the sheer force of your mind requires a lot of cocentration, isn't it?
Now all you need to do is to add two and two together.

I can't understand the logic with Grass types being reistant to Electric, though. Nor do I understand why the heck Dragon is affective against Dragon and Ghost against Ghost.

Alot of the resistances don't really make sense.
For example what about Flyings resistance to fighting?
And Psychics weakness to bug, I would think it would be vice-versa?
Another strange one is Ice's weakness against rock.
But Dragon to Dragon takes the gold, it's the most strangest.

I dont understand how water is resistant to ice either.
Thats really the only one I've ever been real curious about ...
I mean, Ice would seem stronger then water, because Ice is a solid and water is a liquid... and ice...would more then likely completely freeze the water if the ice Pokemon were strong enough... >>

If your rock hard power is strong enough. It can penetrate ice, I understand that.

But what I do not understand is. How is steel not weak against water. Water makes steel rust.

I dont get how rock is weak against water either. I never got that. Where the hell did Ice good against dragons idea come from.

That one is understandable. A good example are caves and sea shores.
Have waves hit a rock for thousands of years and the water slowly deforms the rock, same goes for the stalactites and stalagmites found in caves. Their very shape was caused by dripping water.

    For the Flying/Fighting, thing:

Flying Pokémon are probaly just too high up for fighting type Pokémon to get a good hit. I mean, hitting a target that is above you isn't exactly easy, is it?

I already explained my theory about the Bug > Psychic thing, so I won't type it down again.

What's so strange about the Rock > Ice thing? Have you ever tried throwing a heavy rock on ice? It will be almost 100% sure to make a crack of some kind.

Well, concerning the issue of Dragon against Dragon and Ghost against Ghost, I picture it as those two being types of exceptional power, and as such, the best way to beat such a power is to weild it yourself. It's perfectly logical that a spirit (Ghost-type) is best affected by one residing in the same state of being (Another ghost) or one possessing powers that lean a bit to that side (Dark). On Dragon against Dragon...it could be, as I said, the whole allmighty type-thing, Dragons being so powerful that the only way to match them, other than their natural ice weakness, is using their own power. Takes a dragon to beat a dragon and all that. xP

As for the Bug > Dark thing, that could run in the same vein as the Bug > Psychic one, bugs being just too darn annoying for the evil Dark-type creature to focus its powers properly.

Well, this is just a guess, but I think Dark and Psychic type are weak against bugs because when they get grossed out or frightened by bugs, the Psychic/Dark Pokemon loses its psychic concentration, thus leaving it open to attack. Sorry if I'm speaking rubbish.
I suppose Ghosts are the only things that can hurt Ghosts effectively.
As for a bugs resistance to Ground... I don't get it at all.

If it's already been explained, then there should be no need to explain it again.

None of the dark-type attacks are telekinetic powers, so they probably don't really need to concentrate for their powers. Do you really need focus to bite something? I have a bad explanation for Bug>Dark: Tics are bugs, and some dark-types are mammals, which are targeted by tics. Though a tic would make a fitting Bug/Dark Pokemon.

Psychic pokemons are weak against Dark type... but if Dark pokemon symbolize evil, Psychic should win, in my opinion...
I'm not sure you understand what I mean... it must be full of mistakes.

I guess they needed something to be weak against psychic besides the unpopular bug moves (Except for megahorn).

Why is flying good against fighting?
