Web Servers

Well I guess it all depends on what your hosting? I mean what kind of media do you plan to have on your site? If Simone plans to host episodes then she is set. :)
 
Yeah, but do you really need 240gig to host episodes? I doubt she's gonna be hosting the entirety of Pokemon. o.o;
 
on my site now i barely use 10 meg if it wasnt for the downloads
 
Once your site builds up you use a lot, not including my galleries on Patamon's World I use about 50 MB and I don't have any media files though. Simone, what kind of affordable connection did you manage to get for a server in Queensland?
 
My server is hosted at the university, It runs on a OC-192 connection. Dual gigabit ethernet (2000mb). Its fast.

Also, i will be hosting media, but also, i'm hosting other big sites, (like dadragonz.com) so that will be good with a big HD.
 
Yeah, but even with like 20 sites, you don't need 100 GB. I'd average out maybe a gig a site... if that much... e.e

And how much are you paying for this server?
 
im not. i built this server my self.

OMG, you are so lucky, I wish I could tap into a university pipe for a server...
