Here is where you can discuss the part two of the eighth Hoenn badge two parter, one on one battling, "Eight Ain't Enough".

    My review to come forthwith.

This one was action-packed. Milotic's constant use of Recover, however, was as annoying as it is facing it like that in Emerald. In any case, now it's a few weeks to May's contest in Pacifidlog, and more weeks 'til Ash's debut in the Hoenn League. And so the plot thickens...

Wouldn't an underwater electric attack up close kill Milotic? :( I felt bad for it. I like how Milotic sounds ^^

It's excellent, and nerve-wracking! Juan would make a better choice than Wallace, in some ways. I liked the Milotic/Pikachu scene, but Brock had to spoil the secret.

I thought it was amazing how easily Pikachu flipped a 400 pound pokemon like that; simply amazing! It was an ok episode, I mean I knew Ash was going to win.

Try saying this title five times fast. I would like to rename this one though. Like Eight At Last. Eight At Last. It just sound better and show what the episode was about. I kept their idea of using the word eight as a pun.

So we countiued the battle between Ash and Juan, the almost sexy sounding old man gym leader. We were left with a confuse Grovyle and a fast little Luvdisc.

This episode was action pack to the max. It was one punch after another after another.

Poor poor Grovyle. You know they only got rid of Grovyle earily becasue if he was kept alive during the rest of the battle then it wouldn't even be a battle. With Grovyle speed and attack the battle would have been over. It the truth. Still the Lovely Kiss hit and Grovyle knock itself out. He was knock out too fast so to me it was the writers way of getting rid of Grovyle fast and cleanlike. A shame.

Smart use of Corpfish. Then Juan played even better. I mean the Luvdisc jsut floated in the air using it ability. It made some sense and showed how talented Juan is. Just to show that the last isn't a push over. Still Ash played a little bit more smarter.

Juan just shows that he is power and graceful with his Whiscash by knocking out Corpfish easy. Then Swellow came out with power and some lack of logic. You think it be out after a Tickle and Hyper Beam attack. Hyper Beam just isn't what it use to be like in the past. A pokemon use Hyper Beam and that was it. Battle was over. Here Swellow just survive and win. Looks like all battles involing Swellow just lack logic and common sense.

Milotic. Just beautiful. Combo and pwer to just sweep Swellow out like it should have a while ago. Now it is time for both trainer's most powerful pokemon to face off. Milotic verses Pikachu. An easy battle you think. Well Juan just here to prove that it isn't.

Recover. Tunder. Recover. Tunder. It was jsut repeating itself til Ash just use his brain to say water conducts electricy. We have hread this so many times but he just talks longer to do. Still it was a nice battle.

As of our fave trio of thiefs? Well just a scam kinda like the one in Petalburg. Gotta give James props for a good Juan impression. It made me think that he was Juan. The water trick was a bit chezzy but it was ok. They were just here to past some time between battle parts but hmm. Like said in the other tread. At least they didn't eat up battle time like in the Liza and Tate battle.

9/10- One action to another. I mean it was hit after hit after hit. They use Ash's battle time very good this time. I mean it wasn't wasted with stupid things or stuff. I mean Juan jsut proves that water maybe easy to beat but he going to make this battle count. Team Rocket wasn't a compete waste and Juan just looks good.

Next. It is a contest with May. This one I would like to see what will happen to this once since it contains a intresting pokemon that hasn't been seen in a LONG time. Then it is Ever Grade City. There an stress on the last part. At this rate the Hoenn sage will be over. They really want to end it with two episodes a Saturday.

excellent episode one of the best battles of the series so far

This battle was not possible. O.o I'm serious! It was impossible I say! Unless the pokemon world has no laws of physics this battle had quite a few problems.

Reyna already mentioned them, and I concur! I mean, I just sat there laughing after Pikachu hurled that Milotic around. Juan's jaw should have hit the bottom of the pool after he saw that happen. XD

There is NO WAY that little Pikachu could have thrown a HUMUNGOUS Milotic like that. NO WAY. It really urkes me when gym battles make no sense. These are the battles I get excited about seeing and, darn it, I want to feel satisfied with them, not exasperated with my eyes rolling. Pikachu hadn't used a special ability, he hadn't powered up or even spun around very much at all. He just shoots out, grabs Milotic, and flips it over like it was a sock. O_O That's... not possible!!

I've already stated my thoughts on Swellow in the thread regarding a KO'ed Golem, but I'll say it again. Swellow is not a kind of waterfowl, it should sink like a rock in water once it's soaked, and I would say that swimming would qualify as being soaked. Sure, raptors can pick fish out of the water, but they do it with their talons, not their whole bodies. I guess Swellow was just so fast that the water had no time to soak into it? XD Maybe Ash cheated, and knowing he was going up against a water trainer, greased up his Swellow in butter, 'just in case'.

    Gah! I can't write about this anymore.... The pokemon anime makes science cry.... ;_;
