Weekly Anime Discussion #410: A Real Cleffa-Hanger

Now a real episode involing Misty!! Just Ash and friends wiht Misty haning along.

Cleffa. Cutie. Team Rocket coming in early. Nice. O Mi!! the old background music of Team Rocket!!! I so love it!!! It so coolie!!!

This Balloon attachment looks kind of the Vacum thing they used in the last episode. Reuse, Reduce, Recycle? It is more powerful. It only a shame that Jessie can't be patience or the Boss would have gotten a nice few pokemon like a Grovle. It nice to see that they are doing some connection with old episodes with Max metioning that is just like the same vacum from the last episode. It only a shame that Team Rocket don't just be happy with what they have and not go after Pikachu. Still they won't be Jessie, James and Meowth if they didn't go after Pikachu.

Now it time for Misty's time to shine. It was all Misty here. Then that Azurill with Refresh to help Pikachu.

May feels bad that she couldn't help Max. Aww. Isn't she a great big sister.

Misty then helping Max to relize as little sibling it is their job to help the older ones. A little bit of development for Max. Then Misty just shining again. Don't you love Misty!!

Then Team Rocket back for one last attack. All I got to say is, make up your mind on what background music to use in order to introduce Team Rocket and to use when they use say the motto. They switch in between the Team Magma/ Aqua music to the old music. I perfer the new revap Team Rocket music from before Hoenn.

Yay!! We get to see the Clefaries dance again!!

Parting of the ways. Support for both May and Ash in the future. She going back to her gym to make sure her sisters don't mess up.

9/10- Then the parting of the ways. It was only short but Misty had her time to shine in this episode. I like this one.
 
I loved it.... very good feeling. so many memories. I liked it that they mentioned they remembred the clefair dance around the moonstone and stuff, because I hate it when sometimes they have a crummy writing to where they do not remember a certain pokemon or an even that ahooened before.

This one brought back good memories :)
 
Misty had to leave so soon ;_; Why don't her sisters take care of the Gym themselves like before.
 
^ her sisters were always rather lazy when it came to being Gym Leaders, even in the beginnning, so its no suprise that they now relay on her to do the battling.

Anyway, I really liked this episode, Misty had a great role, and this episode shows how mature she has gotten (knowing what to do when lost and all). Max also had a pretty good role too, I liked his teasing at the beginning, its just like a little brother. May is such a good big sister to worry about him like she did. Team Rocket= cool as usual. I too am so happy they remembered the dance. All in all, this episode was good too.

Also, did anyone else notice the commercial for the 10th anniversery special? It looks so cool, but I can't help but wonder why would it be rated PG, thats a very first for Pokemon. I wonder what makes it so different.
 
yes this was a good episode. Thow it whould have been better if Ash had comfert May during that scean undernith the big tree. Team Rocket really need's to get a huge victory over them for once..


One reson why the 10'th anniversery special is PG becuse there might be a kissing scean in it. well a lot of pokeshipping fans I talk to sayd they were hoping for one becuse of the PG rating. thow I have no ideal if there well be one, I hope not becuse I like advanceshipping..
 
Ok episode. Not allota to say aside from that 3/5. Just really netural to me.
 
The 10th anniversery episode isn't PG. It just the commercal that KidsWB made for it to give it the movie feel. Did you notice on the side of that 'rating' that it said "Pokemon Gotta See" thing? It a pun thing.

Still I like this episode a lot.

I agree with that. I loved the last two episodes.
Seeing Misty back was nice aswell.
And seeing all of Ash's old Pokemon was pretty awesome too.
(Bayleef is awesomeness!)

It was good times, happy memories!
Reminds of watching the old episodes back in the day, when I was 11...

Oh, I didn't see that so I thought it was real (I didn't get a very long look, just the last few seconds).... Well that was very misleading. Thank you for pointing that out.
 
It's really good to see Misty again. Though her voice has changed a bit, I was able to overlook that small thing, luckly, and enjoy her role in the episode as a whole.

When Ash and May get together, do they always have to have a shippy scene? Comon, also think about Ash. I'm pretty sure he was preoccupied with other thoughts at the time. (that, and he really doesn't seem to be the guy to do such a thing...)

Team Rocket has scored near vitctories in recent episodes, so I wouldn't expect them to do one anytime soon.

If there's gonna be any Pokéshipping in the 10th anniversary episode, I would've been on top of it a long time ago. I never even heard the rumors about such a thing. And frankly, I don't want to see that happen, regardless of my fanaticism of Pokéshipping...
 
Sweeties, I <3 that episode! X3 Cleffa was soooo kawaii! ^^ It was nice that Misty was back, but her voice sound a bit different, or it was just me. XD
It was so sweet that Haruka was being a big sister. ^^
The show gave me that feel good feeling. X3 I liked both episodes sweeties, they were just peachy! ^^

Hehe, even though Misty seems more mature, I'm glad that not every aspect of her old self has gone away. Actually its almost more fun to see her run away from the bugs now with that mature attitude than back a little before the change.

Obsessive Advanceshippers are like the old Obsessive Pokeshippers... They will take anything and everything out of context to make it shippy, when in reality there is nothing shippy about it. If they can't, then they'll just wish. Lets face it, Pokemon isn't the type of show for romance of that degree, and its hopeless to think it will every happen.... This isn't Sailor Moon.

Yeah I highly doubt that if it was rated PG, it would be because of a kiss. There were plenty of other shows with G ratings that have gotten away with kisses. When I was wondering, I was thinking more along the lines of mild violence that is taken to a little higher degree than the TV show normally has, or mild language that a Y7 rating doesn't normally allow, like the use of the words God, death, or hell. Kissing was the last thing I thought of. I don't know where cryztalwing gets all those crazy ideas.

I wouldn't want it to happen either, even though I'm a Pokéshipper. I like the idea of characters having a cute inoccent but romantic relationship that doesn't need incredibally romantic lovey-dovey kissy scenes to make them a good romantic couple.


.....but this all way off topic from what this thread is really about.... so I end what I say dealing with the off topic stuff now. ^_^
 
I wanted to see Politoed. :( Bummer. Bug phobia or not, Beedrill are very dangerous, since Misty was going for a visit, she probably didn't bring any Pokemon except Azurill with her. All in all, a good episode. Now if only we could have a Misty/May catfight. :cheeky:
 
One could only hope, DoubleWide. One could only hope. (it's quite impossible now since the two are basically the best of friends)

Oh, and yeah. Shipping topics should be posted elsewhere, though Pokéshipping in a particular thread is basically covered ten times over.
