Weekly Wi-Fi Tournament

In order to try to boost activity here in the Battle Stadium, I've decided to hold weekly Wi-Fi tournaments that are open to everyone. If you're willing to help make our forum more active, and have a little time on your hands for a few Wi-Fi battles, please read on! Hopefully, we can get this going enough to hold a tournament each week.

Rules and Guidelines

- Of course, follow all PC and Battle Stadium rules.

- If you sign up for a tournament, please make sure you are able to complete your battles. Basically, don't post with something like "Oh I might be able to do this, sign me up!" and then not show up.

- Please get your battles done in a timely fashion. I'm planning on having three days for sign ups and four days for battles, so this should move fairly quickly. Once again, if you don't think you'll have time, don't sign up.

- All tournaments will be bracket-style, single elimination. For the sake of simplicity, we'll hold the number of entrants to 8 or 16, depending on how much interest each tournament gets. In the future, we may be able to change this by giving byes to past tournaments winners.

Prizes

- As of now there are no "official" prizes for any of the tournaments. However, any winner of a 16-man tournament will receive the Tournament Winner emblem. If you have any spare pokemon you would like to donate as a prize, you are more than welcome to do so.

- I'll also be working on a point system to keep track of standings throughout each week. If this ends up getting active, we can use this point system to reward those with the highest point totals. If you have any ideas about how this could be done, please feel free to share.

What I'll do is post the pairings on tomorrow and have from then until Sunday for battles. Monday to Thursday will be for sign-ups, and then the cycle repeats, hence weekly wifi tournament :]

In the mean time, you guys can still sign up if you want. I'll just have to randomly award byes if we get a weird amount of people.
