Right, I've got some really annoying bugs aswell as some questions that I need help with.

    The Problems

First of all, when hacking Emerald, Ruby and Sapphire, every new warp I create, no matter where I put it or where its supposed to take me to, it allways takes me to the "secret base" place. It's just really, REALLY annoyíng! I've read and watched literally about 5 different tutorials on warps, double checked everything, but nothing works.

Whenever hacking FireRed and LeafGreen, creating warps here gives me another problem.
So, I made this cave on route 1. I put up correct warps, movement permissions etc. The problem is, when testing, I can enter the cave. But I cant go back out? Like if the warp isnt even there. The warps are all set correctly, I have tried both FireRed and LeafGreen... It's pissing me off!

    The Questions

When hacking R/S/E, How do I remove the truck part?
I tried using the Start Map Advance tool (that is apparently supposed to remove the truck entirely and place me, well, wherever I set it to place me), problem is, it simply wont work and instead places me in an empty black abyss with the effect as if I was standing in tall grass...

Can someone give me a tutorial or a downloadable "preset version" of putting R/S/E tiles and textures into FireRed and LeafGreen?

Thank you for reading, and please help!

Right, I've got some really annoying bugs aswell as some questions that I need help with.

Are you using Ruby, Sapphire or Emerald? I suggest you go with Emerald, but if you're between Ruby and Sapphire, just go with Ruby since it has better support and documentation than Sapphire.

Could you show a screenshots of the warp details in your R/S/E maps? Like parts of the warp data boxes in Advance Map? Perhaps you're putting the data in the wrong fields? Warps work the same in R/S/E and FR/LG, so if you managed to get it to work in FR/LG it should work in R/S/E as well. For your cave problem, each block in the games' tilesets has different types/behaviors. So if you want the warp to be executed, the block the warp is placed on should have a behavior byte set that actually uses the warp. All doors have this, but in caves, since the exit is downwards, the block that uses the warp isn't the cave exit with the outside light showing, but the block just above it, which looks just like a normal "ground" block, but it has a warp behavior byte. Here's a screenshot in case you're having trouble understanding this:

The block I circled is the one the warp is placed on, and it isn't a normal ground block but the ground block that's selected on the right, which has the behavior "Use warp".

Changing the starting map should also work fine, try downloading a different tool or find the location of the starting map in the ROM and edit it manually with a hex editor. Alternatively, removing the level scripts from the truck map should get rid of the screen shaking and truck opening intro, so you could edit the truck map instead of changing the starting map.

There are plenty of useful tutorials on how to edit/insert tiles in our Tools, Tutorials and Resources section, so have a look there. Or, you could download ROM Bases from there, some of which already have custom tiles inserted, though I suggest taking a look at tile editing tutorials anyway.

To change the "truck part" in ruby/emerald/sapphire (don't use sapphire), The player will start in the correspondent map bank and no., in the same coordinates he does in the game
It's a metter of replacing that same map by the one you want to be your starting point.
To change the coordinates however, you'll have to change some bytes in a Hex Editor, or whatever, I don't know the first thing about that
The sound effect and screen shake, I don't know how that happens, I don't think there is even a way to remove that as of now. I mean, it is present on the Ruby Hack: Pokemon Light Platinum so...
It might be a level script, but who knows...
