    Hi there folks and folkettes,
    I am your friendly neighborhood Ultra Dad!! I stumbled across the site while looking for information on hacking GBA Roms for my wife and figured, eh, why not sign up!
    I've been an avid fan since the mid 90's when I was still in elementary school and my wife, whom all my Roms will be for, has been a Pokemon Master since the early 2000's. This will be my first Pokemon hacking experience so I am very excited to figure it all out and get to know you all! Your inputs and advice are greatly appreciated and very much welcome.

    Quick back story I suppose:
    My wife grows tired of Nuzlocke Challenges and hasn't found a ROM hack she REALLY can sink her teeth into. So!! Being the nifty hubby I am, I've decided to take on in my spare time the task of building her a pokehack suited and tailored specifically for her. Hints at our lives, friends and family based characters who lived their lives in this poke world I'm creating. I have some programming experience but I want to try just map/text and sprite editing basics.

    Aw, sounds awesome! Huge welcome to the forum, Ultra. I was pretty interested in the hacking scene myself but mostly just for playing ROM hacks; making them seemed a tad difficult for me. But anyone who does decide to go down that route has many options since we have a lot of resources to utilize. n~n

    Sounds like the game you have planned will be great and I'm sure it'll make your wife happy. :) Enjoy exploring the hacking boards and don't be afraid to contact one of its four moderators if you need anything, yeah? They're experienced and happy to help point you in the right direction.
