OOC: Sankyuu Lizzie. =] But, just so you know, I just found it off the internet. ;]
IC: The wind was starting to take up speed, blowing harshly through the shivering child?s soft skin. She knew that it was past her curfew but she felt something was amiss and she could not take her mind off it. She sighed, wondering why a child would be worried for a clearly non-existent thing.
Shaking her head, she forcibly assured herself that all was well. She started making her way back to her home, walking in a slow pace. Still, the anomalous feeling was troubling her. Being lost in her thoughts, she slammed against the wooden door of the cozy cottage she was staying in, falling hard on the concrete.
Suddenly, candlelight brightened the dark room and a silhouette of a lady was walking closer to the door. "Who is there?" The lady asked in a very bossy demeanor.
Umi panicked. She could not be seen outside at this hour; her mother would increase her punishments! Without thinking, she hurriedly jumped to her feet and ran, following her instincts and her sense of direction.
Halting abruptly, she gazed at the tavern she had come across with. She bit her lip with her pearly whites as she pushed the rather weighty door. Seeing the jolly men and hearing their laughter, the nine-year-old let out a sigh. Nothing seemed muddled, at least she hoped so.
