I have a female abra, and a male alakazam in the daycare. The Alakazam has modest and is FINALLY holding an everstone, as I'd like a modest Ala with synchronize. Before this I've been collecting synchronize Abras so I can have an easier time hunting my preferred natures in the wild.

My question is what exactly affects 2 pokemon liking each other more, thus producing an egg faster? I was getting eggs FAST earlier, but now it's slowed down to a crawl =( I've gotten 1 modest sync Abra so far but his IVs were so bad, even for in game, that i decided to put him on the back burner. Any ideas as to how I can "light some candles" and get some Barry White going?

luther vandross would do the trick, maybe jamie foxxx.

Assuming this hasn't changed for generation six (apart from the couple not being elderly):

    Same species, different ID numbers
The chance of getting an Egg is 69.3% (has a value of 70). The old man in the Day Care will say: "The two seem to get along very well."

    Different species, same ID numbers
The chance of getting an Egg is 19.8% (has a value of 20). The old man in the Day Care will say: "The two don't seem to like each other."

Different Egg Groups, same genders or Undiscovered group
The Pokémon are incompatible and therefore will not make an Egg. The old man in the Day Care will say: "The two prefer to play with other Pokémon than each other."

The chance is checked every 255 steps you make, so get cycling. Ditto counts as 'different species', I believe.
