It's looking good though! The tiles actually look more authentic than most devamps get them. Just a small suggestion though, I'd consider shrinking the maps a bit. Because of cartridge size and general design of the tiles, maps of 2nd generation were a fair bit smaller than gen 3's.

Currently working on a non-pokemon game which is heavily inspired by one of my favourite PS1 games, Jade Cocoon. Using RPG Maker MV :), not done much so far other than tried to sort out a monster merging system. Got a good temporary merging system done, but think I'll have to learn a lot more Javascript (or beg a plugin maker) to get it more robust and able to merge any old monsters.

Hi, was thinking the same too, unfortunately the maps of Gen 3 and Gen 2 is almost identical. Here look.

I'm working on my first hack which is going to be a Yellow like remake in lieu of Fire Red and Leaf Green. Changing sprites, encounters, etc. Just so I can get my barrings but I want to do my best and hopefully people like it
