Here is my opinion on teh issue, starting with my choice:
His new hat. It's much better because it symolbizes so much. his old hat was nice, but the story behind it isn't exactly somethign you would call an emotional one. A mail in order. WHoop. his old hat with the white front symbolizes the purity of childhood and the childish behavior most fans chastized him for. However, his new clothes are more of the times, as well as refelct his increased maturity. The black of his newer clothes symbolizes a growing maturity, as with maturity comes a sense of "loss of innocence", symbolized by that black color. His new hat represents his new toughter, more rugged, more mature personality. IN fact, I woudl say the only reason why people would prefer his old clothes over teh new is because they're retro thinkers who don't like change, as they've gotten used to the old ways. I say change is good, as it's changing for the better.

I like the new one because it?s a little bit more color in the hat then the other one.

I like his old hat better. It has a neat story behind it, and I just like how it looks for some reason!

I have to say I got a lot more post than I thought I would. And all of the emotion over a hat. But I still stay with the old hat cause I got so used to it and then the new hat came
along and I just didn't suit me.And everyone is saying the new hat makes him look more mature.Any true blue Poke'fan likes that little bit of imiturity in the old Ash(just my opinion).
