2nd Gen What did you get from the mystery egg?

My very first time hatching that egg. It came out to be an magby! It was so awesome! Then other times it would be a smoochum like every time. lol--weird

I've gotten Smoochum, Elekid, and I was lucky enough once to get a shiny Tyrogue. =D

Wierd, I got the opposite. The first time I played, it was a Smoochum but then two others time I played Crystal, I got Magby.

wot you get depends on your strater pokemon
Chikorita=smoochum
totodile= elekid
cyndaquil = magby
But ocassoinly you get the rare igglybuff

That's not true. I got Magby but my starter pokemon was Totodile.

Alice is right, there is no such pattern. I have never restarted my Crystal file, and I got the Mystery Egg before I knew about all the particulars. I got a Magby, but if I had known about the shinyness thing and the crappy DVs of the non shinies I would have definitely reset for one :[

I got a shiny Magby!^^ First I wondered about the colour but after some hours playing, I found out it was shiny!^^ I had no other saves cuz usually I don´t start new games... :D
